then clicks into this article. http://news.aol.com/story/ar/_a/bush-unveils-return-on-success-policy/20070913170109990001 How many people do you think will read the article? My NBC local news is being honest about the reality behind the withdrawal but they did not challenge his claims that things are getting better.

Wanna see who takes the GOOP talking points and runs with them with little questioning? Then see how many papers and corporate media shills attempt to spin this crap into a "withdrawl". I saw Sweet Table Candy last night on that talking point...even sticking to it when Anderson attempted to "keep her honest" by mentioning this is no withdrawl...and that the troop levels will still keep 12,000 plus troops above levels a year ago...but Candy wouldn't have any part of it...that's not how the RNC wrote her script. One would have thought booooosh just announced a real change in policy rather than redressing up the same horseshit. Now we'll find out whose buying.
Kudos to MSNBC...both Keith and Tweety called this regime on their bullshit early and often and were backed up by, of all people, Brian Williams and even Russert. At least someone had a foot planted in reality in covering this disastrous "speech"...but I suspect we'll be dealing all day with lazy stenographers who will keep pushing the "troop reduction" meme.

by the AOL headline, and the amount of backwash will probably increase.
I watched the MSNBC coverage and it was outstanding. After Keith and Tweety pounced on the "speech", they interviewed Huckabee about it, and his support of the Shrub's "plan" sounded positively idiotic.
I missed the CNN coverage, and glad I did as I can't stand the propagandist, although it's nice to know that Cooper tried to keep her "honest". After the Shrub's appearance and MSNBC's coverage, I had to disconnect, and watched a great new show, Mad Men.

6. What a huge, steaming pile of political BS. |

Now Shrub's billing himself as the hero again because (according to him) there is "success" and we can now "bring the troops home." The sheeple, of course, having already forgotten about the surge, don't realize he's bringing back fewer than he sent and the net result is more troops there than a year ago. The 'puke politicians will add an extra flag pin to their lapels and run out and parrot the talking points "we're bringing the boys (they never mention girls) home, vote for us we'll keep you safe.":puke:
