I'm disappointed that more pundits aren't calling him out on what, to me, is the most egregious lie of his speech--his contention that al Qaeda are the movers and shakers of this conflict.
In fact, I think I'll start a new thread about it.

It's SO much easier to be successful than victorious. Victory kinda has to mean a winner and a loser. But SUCCESS...ah! THAT can be however you define it.

That struck me as very odd. How can an involuntarily occupied country be called an "ally"? That's like a rapist referring to his victim as his "lover".
