The president is supposed to be able to stay in the air until the plane can find a safe place to land. It has a command center where he can direct any surviving defense forces.

There are several, and one is always on alert and ready to fly, 24/7. They are very sophisticated in terms of electronics and communications.

On 9/11, there were reportedly three Doomsday Planes in the air as part of a military exercise called Global Guardian. One E-4B was videotaped flying in restricted airspace over the White House that morning. But the plane was never officially identified.

15. Watching The MSNBC Replay Of Its 9/11/01 Broadcast Was The First....

I saw of the white plane over the White House. I don't remember that incident happening on 911 and never heard about this before. Never read an account about this in the newspapers. It's not mentioned in the 9/11 Commission Report. Now all of a sudden - we see it on the Today Show replay 6 years later and immediately CNN feels compelled to have a piece on it and explain it away. This bothered me.

Also - wasn't there a white plane seen near the Shanksville crash on 911? That one I heard about.

3. They finally relented to a communications investigation - an investigation of communication between government agencies
4. The 'Presidents' appointed Kissinger to head it.

Apparently, there is an armored bus similar to an "air force one" on wheels that follows the pResident around the world, loaded into a C4 cargo plane.

I believe it is (or was) made by a company called GRC International out of Santa Barbara, California.

Anyway my comment was that the neocons didn't get a doomsday scenario in the end because of the delayed take-off and subsequent takedown (by passenger or missile) of United 93. If United 93 had departed earlier and reached its target...
