I support the troops!!!
I had this thought this morning on my way to work. I support our troops. Anyone who wants to end this war supports our troops. Contrary to bushco "belief" it is anyone who wants to continue this war isn't in full support of our troops. Notice that I said full support, because I would hope that even those that have bought into this crap and think the war should "continue until it is ""safe"", support the troops in their way.

Now I can't possibly imagine what it is like for our troops, no matter where they are stationed. I think I support our troops more because of their incredible bravery in fighting a battle unknown to them each and every day. Those in Iraq don't know what or who could attack them at any moment. There is no one solid army to identify and fight. Those that are lucky enough to be in the States, live with knowing that they could be called back any day.

I know that these brave YOUNG men believe in their country. Many of them sign up full knowing and willing to fight this fight. I applaud them for that. Many however sign up to escape circumstances that they had no control over. Many don't have the money or resources to escape any other way, and the believe that the military can help them entices them. I applaud them as well. I cheer the men and women that do what I could never have the courage to do. I cry for those that don't make it home. Regardless of why one signed up, they did sign up. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So don't get it twisted bushco, I SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, I just wish you would as well!

1. Yes!
Standing up for the troops, demanding that they have clean water, food and good amour is supporting the troops! Bringing them home and initiating a diplomacy tour is supporting the troops. What I see Congress and the *res doing is NOT supporting the troops. Let's get that straight. Peace, Kim

2. Yep
I am so sick of hearing how those of us that want to end this stupid war, don't support the troops. That is so far from the truth.

3. Bush doesn't support our troops
Bush uses them as a ploy to create his so called democracy in the Middle East. Did the Iraq's ask for this NO they did not. Did they want Saddam Hussein some did. Bush has destroyed Iraq will ever be a democracy probably not in our life time. Its all for oil I truly believe this war was for oil. Now the question to Bush is was it worth it was it worth the lives. Was Iraq worth the lives of our troops he needs to admit it was not. Using his speech last night to even mention one of our troops that died in Iraq made me sick to my stomach to brain wash people in believing that this war was fought for terrorism makes me sick. The troops are a ploy in Bush's plan thats it.

12. And most of the candidates used them as political chess pieces.
Most of them gave bush a loaded gun and continued to feed him ammo because they were afraid it would hurt their political career and fans. To me killing innocent people for money or political maneuvering is unacceptable and anyone that has done so should NOT ever hold the presidency of the United States of America! To me it was cowardly and certainly not presidential for those who did so and it also makes them unelectable to me. I just wish more Americans were against what they did for political gain. This is why our country is heading where it is, most of us fall for the media and politicians games they play, we are allowing them to use us as pawns!

We will see what happens primary time but Americans can no longer sit back and blame bush or congress for what we have enabled them to do to us. I truly hope Americans open their eyes before they cast that important primary vote? I hope.

7. Agree
It is Bush and his gang who should be blamed for Iraq, not the troops - except those troops who commit crimes of course.

You have it right!

Supporting the troops by not supporting the war!

Just wanted to make a few little corrections.

Not all signed up to go to Iraq, some (a lot) were and are being
stop lossed and not all are young or male at all! Many women are there!
The cutoff age is now 42 and there are older one's going also, still.

:kick: & Recommended

Edited to add: Welcome to DU!! :hi:
