I don't want to pay another cent in taxes to this Bloodmonkey! |
|
He is a dictator, a treasonous coward.
He does not respond to the will of the people.
He is spending my children's future.
We should defund. We should all stop paying taxes as one. Try to take us all to jail.
We'll have another Shay's Rebellion.
This is where it started, Western Mass. This is where the revolution started. People refused to let their neighbors get hauled away because they couldn't pay the taxes on their farms. A similar thing is happening today as foreclosures skyrocket and poor people are dislocated by natural disasters and given no help. Same thing for returning vets.
Fuck you, Agent Mike, George Bush and all your accomplices in treason. We will get through this. You will be on the shitpile of history.

1. The problem for me is that taxes are taken out by both my current employer and |
|
my pension fund. It's almost impossible to get an employer/fund manager to stop deducting those taxes. But I certainly agree with your sentiments!

2. There are people who are actually refusing to pay... |
|
"War Taxes." Are you seriously interested in becoming one of them? http://wartaxboycott.org/gettingstarted.htmhttp://www.warresisters.org/organizations_wtr.htmThere are also a few Quakers and Mennonites in the movement more or less supported by the American Friends Service Committee and Mennonite Central.

3. I will think about it. It will be a battle with FEAR -we have all been terrorized |
|
by our own government.
Fear of No-Fly lists.
Fear of IRS.
Fear of surveillance.
Fear of being disappeared.
Fear of involving my children.
Fear, fear, fear.
Thanks for the link. Do you do this?

6. Actually, no, I don't, so I can't tell anyone else... |
|
whether or not they should. I'll just offer the information and admit I admire those who do.
From the war tax resisters I've seen and met, the effort doesn't really seem to be worth the hassle. the movement hasn't grown to where it's a factor and the protestors tend to be lumped in with the Militia-type whackos. And there often is no significant support in their legal troubles over this.
What I would like to see is some local churches or such have all their members pledge not to pay war taxes and stick to it. I don't hold out much hope for that, though, since even the easier things like the Sanctuary movement are tough to get going. Even with the Quaker tax resisters that I know of, ther is not enough support from their meetings.

I know many people who are not filing, some for various reasons. After the incident in the Petraeus hearing a few more CodePink ladies had join some others who have made the decision to stop paying.
BTW are you the one who posted the 4 minute trailer "America Freedom to Fascism?"
