Kucinich needs money to combat attacks & continue his message
He pushed hard against the administration in the rush to invade Iraq and is one of a few that is actively seeking a new path for our nation as conditions in the ME continue to deteriorate. He will not get any help from some of the timid in his own party and the corporate media would prefer to ignore his message while labeling him and his ideas extreme.

Many complain that their concerns are not being heard yet ignore an obvious solution by not contributing to the one person who has been expressing these concerns.

He has consistently voted for the interests of the people while others voted for measures to ensure corporate profitability and to reduce the rights of people.

Patriot Act
China Trade bill
Iraq War
Domestic spying
+++

If you agree with his policies and are able to contribute our voices could grow louder, thanks :)

from an email...

"Nearly two weeks ago, I went to the Middle East on a peace mission, accompanied by my wife Elizabeth. Today I am being attacked as a traitor and vilified for reaching out to people of the region, hearing their concerns and discussing those concerns openly in public forums. My campaign is in need of immediate financial assistance to respond to a right wing hate machine that went into over-drive on the 6th anniversary of 9/11, using my visit to Syria and Lebanon as red meat for their attack dogs. Please go to www.dennis4president.com now to contribute.

Elizabeth and I went to the region to determine the level of interest that exists for peace. As the person who led Democrats five years ago in opposition to the war against Iraq, I went to determine the impact of the war on Syria, which shares a border with Iraq and has taken in over 1.5 million Iraqi refugees. I went to learn what the issues are that separate Syria from hopes for peace with Israel. I went to see for myself the impact of border security issues. I went to learn how the U.S. is viewed by ordinary people. I made my self available to media to discuss my own views as to how the U.S. can take a more constructive role in the region and lead the way to peace.

As the author of legislation HR1234, a plan to end the Iraq war, I went to determine whether anyone in the international community believed the war could end soon and how Iraq can be made more stable. As someone who attended the first Congressional briefing on the Baker Hamilton report, I went to learn if, in fact, Syria was ready to play the constructive role that the report envisioned. I went to learn the degree to which Syria was providing relief for Iraq's refugees. We met with presidents, political leaders, ordinary citizens and the media to hear their concerns and to share hopes for peace in the Middle East.

As a Congressman, I have a special obligation to determine whether the money that is spent in furtherance of U.S. policy is being spent constructively or destructively, based on lies or on truth. As a Presidential candidate, I must learn first hand whether the opportunity for peace between nations is a pipe dream or a real possibility. I have no authority to enter into negotiations for the U.S., to fashion agreements, to sign treaties, or to establish policy between nations. As President, I will be able to affect these matters more directly.

Reason and peace should not be silenced by fear mongers or the right wing attack machine. But I need your help to answer them now. We must not allow efforts for peace and reconciliation to be continually destroyed by those who want permanent war.

I am asking for your support. I am asking all of my supporters, who have donated in the past, to match their earlier contributions by September 30. If you have not yet given - now is the time. It is essential for our campaign to raise $250,000 to enable us to continue our message of strength through peace. I am asking you to continue standing with me and with our campaign. Together we are making a difference; together we will continue to build the America we all want to see.

Sincerely,

Dennis J Kucinich

1. Kucinich's Message Is Important Even If He Is Not Your
candidate. I think all progressives should support Kucinich whether they plan to vote for him or not.

2. Thank you and that is exactly how I feel, if we continue to ignore
those who have fought for us in the past we have only ourselves to blame in the future.

8. i was going to spend the day burning stacks of cash in the backyard
but i guess i'll just give it to dennis instead.

i'm kidding...settle down folks, i love dennis. i'm glad he's in congress. but i'd never want the guy to be my president. in a just world he probably would be; but it's time to take that pie out of the sky and put it on the table...i'm hungry and too cynical, and i want somebody who approaches politics realistically instead of idealistically.

14. "i'd never want the guy to be my president"
Why? The best presidents we've ever had were idealistic! Lincoln and Kennedy are two without thinking about it.

How refreshing it would be to have a President that can excite the people who are switched off politics because of the crooked as usual lying pablum that passes for debate!

There is only one who would get my vote before Dennis and that's Al. These days I'm beginning to wonder if even that's true, and I'm not looking forward to having to make that decision.

9. America is in bad shape when a guy like Kucinich is ignored?
Ever notice how a Clinton, Edwards or Obama post will get a 100 responses all fighting over who's candidate has more negative things about them but if you start a Kucinich post, you get 10 replies and none of them are ever negative? Why is it that the media controls people so much that they wont even look into Kucinich, he stands for everything I see everyone here standing for but they ignore him? Is it that the media really has brainwashed that many people? Even the ones on this site where they can look and find more information on the candidates?

I have donated and will continue as I can to Kucinich because I think he is the only candidate that will give us real change in Washington. He is not out playing the political games with peoples lives like the rest. Thanks to everyone who still spreads his message!

13. And only the 'Perfect Family' can occupy the WH, something
else the media has sold to the country. You can be right on many issues, but without the help from corporate media, significant cash and the perfect family image your chances are next to none.

We'll only see the change in this country that they want us to :(

15. Shameless kick and now that 20/20 ran a piece about the not
for profit health care system being not so good, it will be harder to fight those who make money from the industry :(
