Symbolman's Psychedelic Weeds Journey - Peace as Politics?

As many of you know I've been creating Political Flash attack animations for six years now, some people would say that American Stranger (another DU'r) and I practically invented the Flash political attack ad online in 2000 when he and I met and "dueled" here on the DU with our ads, taking Bush Co to task..

Well, I never really got paid for any of that, and since times are bad for many, myself included thanks to Bush's economy or lack of it, I've reached out for any funding I can get to keep fighting the good fight - so I entered the Showtime's WEEDS contest on their site, and let's be Honest DRUGS ARE Politics as well, they've compared drug use in ads to TERRORISM, as little as two, three years ago..

But PEACE is ALSO politics, when making an animation for the contest, I actually had to WORRY about adding the word "PEACE" and having my symbolman character flash a Peace SIGN.. whether it would go over or not, or be considered BAD TASTE at a minimum.. that ol' PC thang.

I put it in there ANYWAY, as usual I don't back down :)

If you want to see what I've been up to lately here's the link, and spreading the word, bumping my rating up, and pushing the PEACE in my video wouldn't hurt either - you all KNOW that any money I get will be used to continue the fight, that's all I've ever done :)

I don't know if anyone is noticing but the 70's is making a REAL Comback, and I LOVED that era, a LOT of fun, when the Hippies RULED, before a lot of them ran off to Wall Street and hard core drug addiction..

When Fascists get into power there's a GROWTH factor in the arts, in all of history it's been the same :)

funny, I usually get sick of hearing the same song over and over, but for some reason, this one sorts of Rolls along, and when the Magic Finger kick in it pulls it all together, and as you can see I have people of all Races partying together, the green ones and the Purple Ones.. that would be Prince I guess, who had the nerve to call HIMSELF the SYMBOLMAN, when everyone knows that I am He.. :)

Actually, I put my whole spine out animating this damn thing, a month of no sleep for three minutes of spreading the Peace, it's a deal :)

But it's only a happy mistake, must have been in my inner mind when designing it, once I did, my wife said, "That University looks like a Buddist Temple.." and I said, "By God, you're right.. wierd, didn't mean to do that, just happened.."

Maybe God IS on our side after all, eh? :)

Should have been a War Profiteer, but for some reason I don't have that kind of corruption at the root of my DNA :)

Web pages frequntly have a "style" document associated with them. Sometimes for whatever reason, the stylesheet doesn't load, and then the page looks horrid. Try reloading and see if that works.
