Bush admits to being out-smarted by the enemy in Iraq
Edited on Fri Sep-14-07 03:58 PM by underpants
Brian Williams blogs on his lunch with Bush yesterday

On the management of the war, the president, as he has in the past, cited the travails of some of his predecessors in office. Today he talked about President Lincoln's struggles. He also indicated that he was very aware of how President Johnson (and Defense Secretary McNamara) conducted the war in Vietnam, including the minutiae of target selections in the same Oval Office President Bush now uses each day. He indicated more than once his distaste for public opinion polls. He admitted to being out-smarted by the enemy at several stages of the Iraq war, and spoke glowingly about the sacrifices of the military and of military families.

5. Hey, Bush*, I've gotta couple of rugs for sale at 25% off. (Of course, I raised the price by 25%
before they went on sale.)(Bush*, don't try the same shit on the American people. 70% of them can't be fooled by your flim-flam tricks. The other 30%, I'm sure you know who they are.)

Bush* --- outsmarted by the rug merchants.

6. Although a major admission from a man who never admits to being wrong
about anything, it's not exactly a glowing assessment of the enemy that they outsmarted the dumbest asshole ever to sit in the White House.

7. Which enemy?
It's not like the Iraq war is a war with a well defined enemy.

8. Who is the enemy that junior references: some mystical, nebulous, ubiquitous, supernatural presence?
Everyday Iraqis who don't like being occupied? Those from nearby countries considered our friends but maybe don't like our occupation? It's too puzzling for my pea-sized brain to size-up.

9. A logical consequence of his *my way or the highway* attitude.

He overruled his advisors at every critical moment, wanting to have his own way like the spoiled brat that he is. He had military and intel advisors available to him but he was of the opinion that he knew better than the professionals. Somebody ought to kick Poppy & Babs asses for inflicting this misfit on our planet.
