I just got a call from the DCCC.....
...I've contributed money in the past to them. Today I said no to the request and added not until impeachment is on the table. The telemarketer proceeded to argue with me with all the asinine talking points. I simply asked him if he had watched the speech last night and told him that we have a psychotic, crazy person with his palm print on the nuclear trigger.

Did I do something bad?

3. Look For A Progressive Candidate...Now's An Important Time
I also shunned DCCC calls (Rahm should know better)...and I've kick some change to Randy Schuerer who is trying to mount a challenge to Melissa Bean in IL-8. There are other candidates around who also could use the help. And I'm sure other DU'ers will gladly mention their preferences...

5. You did the RIGHT thing, my dear Aviation Pro!
I got their survey today...

I plan to answer it, but send no money...

And somewhere prominent in that survey, I will write:

NO MONEY TILL IMPEACHMENT IS ON THE TABLE!

Good job!

6. I've refused money to the DCCC recently, too.
I sent back their surveys telling them that if they don't start supporting progressive candidates they won't see any cash from me.

9. the money they don't get from you will be made up
by corporate contributions, which the DCCC will be forced to go after because of your refusal to donate, further diminishing your voice in our government.

13. They called me last week and I said "not one dime
until they impeach the son of a ___" and then I hung up. Usually I feel bad hanging up on people -- but not this time. My 12 year old said "way to go Mom"

16. Glad to see a few other people feel the same way that I do. I cut them off a few weeks ago and I fel
t terrible about doing it, I've always given in the past. I just decided that I'd send donations to the candidates directly that I felt would do the best. My first one of the season was to John Edwards last night. I just couldn't stand to think that my money was going to help Blue Dogs like Melissa Bean, my Rep.

a lot of folks were saying the same thing: No money until impeachment is back on the table.

20. Good for you
I also had a call last month from the Senate funders... told them the same thing. Was quite detailed and persuasive I thought. The guy listened to me and asked questions for about 4 minutes. At the end, he asked again if I was going to give to them this time. Sheesh. Poor goof, he was still thinking I was going to give to him and I told 5 ways to Tuesday I wanted impeachment hearings first before I parted with ANY of my money. What is it about NO they don't understand?

22. You did the right thing in my book.
Now if we could do the same with our votes in the primaries. There is no reason to vote for someone that gave that psychotic crazy person a loaded gun and ammo whenever he asked for it because they didn't want to hurt their political careers. No human lives should have been lost over political games and if we put one of these people in the white house we only get more political games. Doing the same thing over and over expecting the same results, you know the rest. Americans need to think outside the box for our next president, we need someone new that doesn't play the games, someone that is willing to step up and fight this corrupt system. All the lives lost could have been avoided. Does anyone else realize that? We need to get our heads out of our asses, stop watching television for our future and make decisions based on logic and fact, not on bullshit political games.

Wake up America before the primaries have past!

24. Good!
If you Work for a Living, money sent to the DCCC will be used AGAINST you.

"According to Democratic candidates who ran for House of Representative seats in 2006, Rahm Emanuel, then head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, took sides during the Democratic primary elections, favoring conservative candidates, including former Republicans, and sidelining candidates who were running in favor of withdrawal from Iraq."

http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/090607J.shtml

"The DCCC under Rham (Big Money) Emmanuel (DLC) has been interfering with Democratic Primaries and using Democratic Money to target Progressive Grassroots candidates.

I witnessed this in Minnesota. The DCCC actually contacted donors to the grassroots Progressive and threatened them with economic retaliation if they continued to support a candidate not approved by Rham. They were then asked to match their contribution with one to Rham's candidate who had the Corporate seal of approval."

The DCCC has absolutely NO BUSINESS interfering with Democratic Party Primaries!!!
Send your donations DIRECTLY to the candidates you support, or to the DNC.

Return empty envelopes to the DCCC with a note stating your objections to the rigging of local Primaries.

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans. I want us to compete for that great mass of voters that want a party that will stand up for working Americans, family farmers, and people who haven't felt the benefits of the economic upturn."---Paul Wellstone
