The only thing worse than evil is apathy |
|
Apathy is the grease that allows evil to spread.
It is the back that is turned on starving people.
It is the curse that allows people to be easily lead.
It is the blind eye and the deaf ear.
It sits in the pews and preaches from the pulpit.
It Hides behind gated communities and sits on the board.
It sits in run down mobile homes watching wrestling instead of the news.
It stays home on election day.
It loves the pain of others.
It is the only thing worse than evil.

3. ignorance, as in ignore |
|
seems a better term then apathy. Apathy often is the result of too much stress inflicted over too dam long a time, and if the inflicter is george bush the youngster and his mediawhore allies- it gets to the point one says 'go bush' because bush is literally the only one who's destroying whatever it is his supporters/promoters seem to want or say they want, to create outta the mess bush is making. Most people i see, even the well to do types, seem small and hapless in relation to the bs we see/read about on tv etc. In 'Pilgrim's Progress' one character is stuck in the 'cage of despair' and the freakiest thing is, he has the keys! The evil thing about ignorance, unlike apathy, is that ignorance is an act of the will. And it's too often self serving....
