STEAL THIS POST
Do I have it right now?

It's acceptable to post a news article with reference to Cindy, but it's not acceptable to post a piece written by Cindy?

After one locked thread, and another disappeared, I think I understand the rule.

I am on Democratic UNDERGROUND.

Not Democratic Party UNDERGROUND.

Yes, I shall follow the rules.....baaaaaaaaa.
This is not the 60s.
I miss Abbie.

People in back of me must think I'm a real radical. :eyes:

3. I love your back bumper!!!
:P

Awesome!!! My back bumper is half that size and lower.

All lights in the back.

If I did attach bumper stickers, (which I don't) I'd be pulled over!

There's no room at all in the back of my car! :P

But I do have a magnetic Bring Them All Home Now! blue ribbon

on the back and a Half My Heart Is In Iraq magnetic sticker also.

Love your back bumper! :D

6. in answer to your question: i'm not sure--i forget. (very typical of me)
Edited on Sat Sep-15-07 01:18 AM by orleans
but here is a skinner thread which might be helpful

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=389&topic_id=1422881

a piece of skinner's post says:
"To clarify: You are still permitted to discuss Cindy Sheehan, but you may not advocate for or promote her candidacy against Nancy Pelosi."

10. Thank you very much....
for taking the time to find the link for me. I was confused, as I posted something she wrote about the Reverend's arrest....and it had nothing to do with her candidancy...nothing anti-Dem....and it was removed. (?)

Yes, Abbie and the good old days....He was born about 30 miles from me....He'd be out on the streets today...

peace~

13. maybe pm a mod or something to ask for clarification?
bringing up abbie, i'm reading his bio on wiki

and suddenly feeling a bit low--maybe it's time for bed

btw--did you ever see conspiracy: the trial of the chicago eight (1987--aired on HBO years ago)? i loved it. i finally got a vhs tape of it. look it up on amazon if you haven't seen it. i thought it was wonderful when i first saw it & watched it as often as i could in '87. now, the tape i have is one of my most treasured movies.

14. The 'new' Abbie is Code Pink and Move On!!
;)

See? Some of us did learn and remember and imitate from that example!!

That's what he would have wanted, imho.

Abbott Howard "Abbie" Hoffman (November 30, 1936 – April 12, 1989)

http://www.focusdep.com/biographies/Abbie/Hoffman

was a social and political activist in the United States, co-founder of the Youth International Party
("Yippies"), and later, a fugitive from the law, who lived under an alias following a conviction for
dealing cocaine. Hoffman came to prominence in the 1960s, but practiced most of his activism in the
1970s, and has remained a symbol of the youth rebellion of that decade.

Prior to his days as a leading member of the Yippie movement, Hoffman was involved with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), and organized "Liberty House", which sold items to support the American Civil Rights Movement (1955-1968) in the southern United States. During the Vietnam War, Hoffman was an anti-war activist, who used deliberately comical and theatrical tactics, such as a mass demonstration in which over 50,000 people unsuccessfully attempted to levitate The Pentagon using psychokinesis energy until it turned orange and began to vibrate, at which time the war in Vietnam would end. Hoffman was also successful at convincing many hippies to become more active in the politics of the time. One of Hoffman's protests was on August 24, 1967; when he led a group opposed to capitalism (and other things, including the Vietnam War) in the gallery of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The protestors threw fistfuls of (mostly fake) United States dollar bills down to the traders below, some of whom booed, while others began to scramble frantically to grab the money as fast as they could. Hoffman claimed to be pointing out that, metaphorically, that's what NYSE traders "were already doing".

15. I just did!
I pity the mod...it was quite lengthy and opinionated. Thank you for suggesting...
Also, tried to find the video/DVD of the Trial of the Chicago eight...you really got me going with that....and it's nowhere to be found...except here for $185 :(
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/6305004056/ref=pd_luc_mri/701-3194631-3488365
You really do have a treasure.....
But, this is still up...in spite of my using the *C* word, and making a bit of a mockery of my UNDERGROUND sticker.....

peace~
