Irony Overload - Gonzales Remarks in Friday speech at Justice Department

Gonzales Leaves Justice Department
LARA JAKES JORDAN | September 14, 2007 11:54 PM EST

In a Friday morning speech, Gonzales said his time at the Justice Department made him determined to fight terrorists and sexual predators and crack down on guns, drugs and gang violence plaguing the nation's neighborhoods.

"Over the past two and a half years, I have seen tyranny, dishonesty, corruption and depravity of types I never thought possible," Gonzales said in prepared remarks at a Hispanic Heritage Month ceremony at Bolling Air Force Base. "I've seen things I didn't know man was capable of.

"But I will tell you here and now that these things still leave me hopeful," he said. "Because every time I see a glimmer of the evil man can do, I see the defenders of liberty, truth and justice who stand ready to fight it."

2. Change 5 words at the end of his statement for comedic reasons- and it pretty much sums him up.
"Over the past two and a half years, I have seen tyranny, dishonesty, corruption and depravity of types I never thought possible, I've seen things I didn't know man was capable of. But I will tell you here and now that these things still leave me hopeful," he said. "Because every time I see a glimmer of the evil man can do, it gives me a big ol' woody!!!"

8. I just changed 3 words, inserting Bush, and now it all makes sense. Except, of course,
Gonzolies would not say this:

"Over the past two and a half years, I have seen tyranny, dishonesty, corruption and depravity of types I never thought possible, I've seen things I didn't know Bush was capable of. But I will tell you here and now that these things still leave me hopeful, because every time I see a glimmer of what the evil man can do, I see the defenders of liberty, truth and justice who stand ready to fight him."

3. That second paragraph, you have to give gonzales credit
he learned one thing for sure, he can spin with the rest of them. Fact is, he's dumb enough to think the American people believe him.

4. "tyranny, dishonesty, corruption and depravity"
Yep. I think I've noticed that too, these last couple of years. I've also seen things I didn't know man was capable of. If I could, I would build a photo essay of Abu Graihib around these words.

That Mr. Torture Synchophant himself would utter these words is just beyond belief.

6. AG Alberto R. Gonzolies Farewell Address. The Big Good-Bye CEREMONY
You have to see this to believe it! Brace yourselves. The Star Spangled Banner is worse than Roseanne Barr's version, and the soldiers marching around with flags will make you sick. This is how we spend our taxpayer $$$$?

7. Another phrase change:
But I will tell you here and now that these things still leave me hopeful," he said. "Because every time I see a glimmer of the evil man can do, I remember his term is over come January 20, 2009."
