a theory on delay of Iran bombing and Iraq Hydrocarbon Law
Somebody mentioned this on a call to the Thom Hartmann Show, and while they had no evidence, it seemed like there might be something to it.

The idea was that Bush was delaying the attack on Iran until AFTER the Iraqis pass the Hydrocarbon Law giving the lion's share of the oil profits big oil because they think Shia Iraqis might be less compliant after the attack starts, and the Bushies won't have as many intel and military assets to persuade them. So essentially, once the Iraqis ink the deal, "negotiations" start with the Iranians.

1. We're cool then...
The Iraq Oil Law just blew up completely. It seems probable that the US defined sharing agreement may never be instituted now.

3. There is something really weird about all this.
The Hunt brothers are establishment if ever there was such a thing. They are cut-throat businessmen, but very much in the good-ol-boy network. They are part owners in Bush (TM), and a sizable part at that. The idea that they slid around W's back on this is confusing. I suspect something is behind this, but I can't imagine what.

4. the what is that the Bushies are fuck ups. They are so greedy and ham-handed that it hurts their
effectiveness at stealing.

It's like the old joke about the two bulls that see a herd of cows, and the young bull says to the old one, "I bet if we run down there we can fuck one before they run away," and the old bull says, "yeah, but if we walk down we can fuck them ALL."

Baby Bush is like the young bull. The business interests he represents and his dad are more like the old bulls who see the virtue of fucking them slowly so they might not notice or the cows might even thank them.
