3. This will be referred to ...
... (if at all) by the MSM as a handful of protesters.

4. Pssh! 50,000 people marching on Washington isn't news anymore!
ESPECIALLY if they're protesting the war.

8. I would venture a guess way in excess of 50.000. Maybe
more like 500,000. It's been moving along at that density for a long time now.

7. Earlier today, CNN reported the size of this crowd.......
as numbering about a 1,000. Of course, this was about 10am CDST.

Looks like they are having a great turnout!

11. CNN can't count now can they
But then remember through the the last couple of campaign seasons, they always were low-balling the Democratic numbers while inflating bu$h's?

14. Time for someone with the video to rush it to KO for Countdown....
... would be interesting to see what happens given MSNBC just announced 'a thousand protestors' were marching on Washington, showed a handful in front of the White House, and then added of course there are pro-war demonstrators as well.

15. I wish I could be there with those fine patriots!
I was there for the one in Sept. right after Katrina, and I couldn't believe the crowd! This one seems even larger.

Thanks for this!

We should have a DU pool for what the corporate media lie will be on crowd turnout.

17. MSNBC says, simply, "thousands":

Demonstrators calling for impeachment meet counter-protesters in rallies

Updated: 41 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - Thousands of protesters gathered Saturday outside the White House to demand an end to the Iraq war as counter-protesters rallied to meet them on a planned march to the Capitol.

The protesters gathered in Lafayette Park with signs saying “End the war now” and calling for President Bush’s impeachment. The rally, organized by the ANSWER Coalition and other groups, was expected to conclude with a march to the Capitol.

. . .

“We’re occupying a people who do not want us there,” Cliburn said of Iraq. “We’re here to show that it isn’t just a bunch of old hippies from the '60s who are against this war.”

About 13 blocks away, nearly 1,000 counter-protesters gathered near the Washington Monument, frequently erupting in chants of “U-S-A” and waving American flags.

19. Silent, yes -- but there's nothing odd about it.
Now, if 500 Freepers showed up to protest Clinton, THAT would be newsworthy.

The major media IS the problem. It is the strongest weapon conservatives have.

31. As always, as always. Coward to the end, that bastard.
One of my favorite memories from the march I attended in September 2004 was when Bush came back into town and his helicopter flew right over me. I patriotically gave him a two bird salute and lived to tell the tale.

I was at the one in September of 2004 and they did the same damn thing. Hey, if they game works, why change it, right? Their fucking game still works because the media whores are well aware of who they are fellating.
