I have been busy and didn't follow this. Please re-hash this for the catcher-uppers.

Democrats strip Florida of primary delegates

WASHINGTON — Florida must comply with the national Democratic Party's rules for selecting presidential election delegates or lose any role in picking a Democratic nominee for the White House, party leaders decided Saturday.
Members of a Democratic National Committee panel voted to give Florida 30 days to amend its plan to hold a binding primary on Jan. 29. Under DNC rules, only Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina may hold a primary election or nominating caucus before Feb. 5.

If the state doesn't submit a new plan for selecting delegates, it will lose all of its 210 delegates to the party's national convention in Denver next year — the harshest possibly penalty.

"We have 49 other states as important as Florida is to our democratic process and to our country," said Alexis M. Herman, co-chair of the DNC rules committee. "There is a fairness principle here."

The decision to move Florida's primary election up six weeks from March to Jan. 29 was made by Florida's GOP-controlled legislature. The new date makes Florida among the first states to hold a primary.

1. Well, the FL state Dems lost their marbles & joined w/the repukes to break party rules
thereby FUBARing the primaries for every other state, so I'll let you decide.

Last I heard, they were slowly coming back to their senses.

5. Ok.. The dems played along to get the paper trail. Not a bad move.
If that's what it takes to get a paper trail, it's worth losing the delegates. That's what it takes in florida to get honest voting.

3. Who's "bad"? Really, is that all you want to know?
How about, who, when, what, where, and why?

6. I'd also like to know
why people resort to hatred, fear and violence when they're not really threatened. I'd also like to know how we allow others to go without basic needs. I'd also like to know why people fear strangers, and many men fear women. I'd also like to know what real resources are wasted just for political advantage. Could you tell me where the lost voting receipts in Florida and Ohio went to? And, oh, yeah. How is it that DU'er resort to anger and insults at any opportunity?

But that did'nt fit in the subject line. Really sorry about that. Just put me on ignore.

8. Well, at least you didn't ask who's "bad".
The rhetorical questions you posed were informed and nuanced.
