Capitol Blue - George W. Bush: A dangerous, cornered, rabid animal...
'My gut tells me the President of the United States has become a cornered animal - wary of a party that has all but shunned him, distrustful of even his closest advisors, angry at an American public that has rejected him and fearful of his own inability to cope with his growing madness.

White House insiders tell me George W. Bush grows more sullen and moody with each passing day. His paranoia, they say, is increasing to manic levels as he launches into tirades about traitors in his own party, in the press and among his allies.

They describe a man living on the edge and stepping too often over it.

Bush, they say, feels betrayed by former Secretary of State James Baker who he now feels held his administration up for public humiliation in the Iraq Study Group report. Although he told the press after meeting with ISG co-chairs Baker and Lee Hamilton that the White House will take the group's recommendations "very seriously," Bush says privately that he has no intention of going along with their plan.

"Fuck 'em," Bush reportedly said after his breakfast meeting with Baker and Hamilton last week. "I'm the President. I'm the one who decides what's best for this country."'

1. Yep. And that means Cheney has even more control over him.

I've said it before and I say it again ... the GOP base (the "have-mores") won't let Junior see life as an "ex-President." He's far more useful to them as a martyr. He's a loose cannon without the "support enabling system" (narcissistic supply) of the White House.

2. Now . . .. presumably these "insiders" are also leaking this info to Pelosi/Reid, etal -- ????
And they continue to do nothing --

We now have, again, a situation like LBJ - who we are told as "clinically psychotic" -- and Nixon who was paranoid, delusional and bouncing between booze and legal and illegal drugs --
and now Bush -- where again we have reports of liquor AND strong prescription drugs.

Has anyone suggested that Cheney isn't insane, as well--????

5. I'm sure you all know..
the story of Pat Leahy reaching out on the floor of the Senate to shake Cheney's hand. I am paraphrasing now, "You can talk with us Democrats too." As Cheney sat with only Republicans. Famous words, "Fuck off."
They have "fucked off" "we the people" from the beginning.

13. my husband had a page at his old site called: Synopsis Now!!
he shut it down when the towers came down and events began to move very quickly rolling it all into an unfolding contemporaneous online novel; trippy to read in hindsight, he has had his guy tagged since before he stepped into his inaug limo...it amazes that bush has pulled so much wool, over so many eyes, for so long

14. You are right.
I listened to those stupid speeches Bush gave and me, a construction guy, thought "axis of evil"...wrong words. "Bring it on"....what the hell are you thinking. The sacking of the museum..Oh my God. I remember my right wing neighbor saying to me on 9/11, "Thank God Bush is president and not Gore." I said to him, "Well, Gore isn't bad. I think they both would react in the right way." He was dumb, but I was ignorant in a manner I will never be again.

16. cheney & bush have exposed the fallacy of America...
they've used and abused her civility, her poetries, her blood, her treasures, her every better angel and now we have what we see before us...a shrieking/fucking worldwide mess, we should have never insinuated, as did the dems in congress, that just because some guy weasels his way into that chair he is then by extension worthy of it = what a travesty to have foisted upon the world in the name of America The Beautiful, that should be an impeachable offense in & of itself
