Listening to the callers on Washington Journal is a "teaching moment"
Edited on Sun Sep-16-07 08:33 AM by SoCalDem
Every morning I learn something..

Some of the things I have learned recently:

Hillary is evil
Bush is evil
Democratic funders are "secretive"
Republican funders are "not interested in talking to the press"
Apparently schools stopped history lessons at the revolutionary war.
The "Ahh-teyull-yoo-wutt" callers outnumber the relatively sane callers ( must be those extra fingers)
Guests from the press would make excellent candidates for Attorney General..(they forget or don't know a lot)
We must attack Iran
We better NOT attack Iran
We are on our way to victory in Eye-Rack..if only the democrats would shut up
If you do not denounce the betrayus ad, you are allied with bin laden
Duncan Hunter is the only one who cares for "we the people" (schools quit on grammar too, I guess)
Ron Paul is the only salvation for the USofA
Some people could "tolerate" legal mexicans but not the "illegal ones" who are stealing all our good jobs (apparently her son lost that lucrative job trimming palm fronds for $7 an hour...75 ft in the air, with a hand saw)
Cspan is liberal
Cspan is conservative
Cspan censors the news

Anybody got an aspirin?

3. Heehee!
I am having an emotional morning, I guess: I gave up about half-way through that Bai segment and clicked out--to cspan2. Absolutely terrific book, dissecting the players in the first * term.

The level of caller was more than I could handle.

9. PS what are those on-air hosts SCRIBBLING all the time???
The hosts listen to a three minute rant from God-knows-who except that they sound like they are spraying Skoal all over the room, yet the on-air personality is patiently writing away. What ARE they writing? ("Eggs/milk/newspaper. Elise dance recital 7p")

10. I think brian makes them keep a running tally on calls they take
republicans...................democRAT..........Independent

with tick marks, so they can prove how fair they are..

and [robably a column for the people who are too stooooopid to turn off the volume...or who are on hold for 45 minutes on their own dime, only to say "tits" or "Ass" when they get answered..

11. I doubt that..
I do suspect though that Paul has a deep support from a lot of people who have otherwise given up on the system.

Rather like Kucinich in that regard.

We know he isn't going to get elected but we damn well wish he would.

12. the one I liked was the Duncan Liar Hunter one - he's the only one that cares

did you all notice how Duncan seemed to be the General's handler? and how aggressive he was as if he was going to be the best handler ever.

13. Duncan's a microphone hound.. he'd trample his own Granny
to get to a microphone..and he's so hung up on "serving sizes" & numbers of servings of food.. makes me wonder if his Momma locked him in a dog crate and never fed him unless he did tricks.
