7. A citizen's guide to civil disobedience.
- Instead of public protests, consider writing letters to your elected officials instead. These letters have the benefit of being able to be screened for anthrax, as well as being easily thrown into trash cans.

9. Trust me, it's stoppable.. My 80,000 pound 18 wheeler would
make mincemeat out of this midget, and I would probably get better fuel mileage to boot.

10. Funny. But Depleted Uranium cannot explode.
Its U-238, which cannot fission like U-235. It would be like driving a lead-mercury alloy SUV into another. Loud thunk, and poisoned lives, but no big badda boom!

Funny as hell otherwise.

12. Oh yeah? Suppose you had a beryllium hood ornament?
To act as the trigger. I'm no Einstein but I'm gonna say that'd work.

15. Its not fission that they're talking about
Its the tendency of DU ammo to .. burn? its way through armor. It doesn't just bull its way through with mass, but turns into hot particulate.

16. It doesn't burn through. It's just very dense.
Edited on Mon Sep-17-07 02:29 PM by NutmegYankee
Shooting a steel tank with DU is like shooting a tank made of lead with high strength steel rounds. DU is just very dense.

13. I used to have more respect for Duck's Unlimited
But that picture kind of wiped that out with one shot. Too funny to tie it into depleted uranium.
Wonder how many ducks blow up when it wrecks! New weapon to use when duck hunting.
