Michael B. Mukasey, attorney general, isn't that special that he is
legal advisor to presidential hopeful giuliani?

For that alone he should be rejected as attorney general, but will he?

The 66-year-old New York native, who is a legal adviser to GOP presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani, would take charge of a Justice Department where morale is low following months of investigations into the ...

3. Well, he was on the list of acceptable candidates Schumer
sent to bush, and Alliance for Justice, a liberal advocacy group, suggested him as a compromise candidate for the SC. To me the important thing is to get a commitment from him to appoint a Special Prosecutor and to have the U.S. Attny prosecute those who blow off Congressional Subpoenas.

7. I don't think it is a conflict of interest legally and
he's preferable to Clement. He is not a bush crony.

2. I heard a report, CNN I believe, that he is highly respected
by both Conservatives and Liberals in NY as a judge
who plays it fair, wise decisions and is considered
a person of integrity.

5. Right, just like fitzgerald, petraeous(sic), and all the other hype we hear about
Why didn't fitzgerald go after rove for perjury at the very least?

Why wasn't it made very public how petraeous said a couple of years ago how splendidly the Iraq mission was going

Funny but mukasey say no problem to hold padilla without being charged with anything, or having access to an attorney

When it is reported that both conservatives and liberals believe he is a person of integrity, I get worried. Wasn't always that way, but I have grown wiser in the past seven years

6. At this stage, and from this idiot, I will be OK with someone who
will uphold the rule of law and respect the Constitution. (I will not sit still for a "loyal bushie")
