12. Great reply!
   I will admit; however, that the OP might have a point. I think maybe it's largely due to resignation stemming from the realization that, since Congress has chosen not to honor its oath of office, we have no congressional representation and no congressional oversight. Guess you might be kicking my ass, too! Well, that's okay. A lot of people want to kick my ass. I'm used to it. B-)

2. Yes
Same old, same old.

It would be great if we actually discussed what to do about the crumbling of our country.

Are you going to follow me around DU--every time I post--and chastise me for a mistake I made on
another thread?

I found the link to the Gore story on DU. I assumed it was a current story that had been released
that very day.

I made a mistake. I am sorry for that mistake.

I'll be posting later today, in the DU "home improvement" group, because I need some advice
about granite counter tops. Feel free to show up there--sarcasm and all--and remind me of my grave error!

Better yet! I live in Quincy, Illinois and I'll be going to the grocery store at about 2:00. Why
don't we meet in the produce aisle and you can verbally harangue me and hurl tomatoes and grapefruit at my head.
I'll wear all white, just to make it more fun for ya!

See ya at the Piggly Wiggly, Mr. "I've never made a mistake in my life so I incessantly remind others when they do!".

13. Dull? Dull? are you kidding me?
If anything, I think DU is about to shift into "hyper-drive"
"Chewey-set the controls for hyper-drive, or hyper-space, or whatever the eff you call it"

DU is simmering like a BIG pot of gumbo.
Not quite boiling, but simmering.
All these flavors, all these parts and pieces, spices and other unmentionable stuff.
Mixed together, we have a hot brew going on and it's about to boil over in the next 6 - 8 months.
I predict that DU will be just fine, and by the time we are done cooking - we will have something.
Dull?

Surely, you jest.

Hardly a challenge to even the most atrophied patellar tendon, let alone those with a DTR of 4+ which appear most common on DU.

35. OR a natural childbirth vs. epidural thread? That'll wake folks up.
A couple of years back I got put on ignore because a poster didn't like my views on natural childbirth. Seems he went through the childbirth experience with his wife who had no medication and was furious that anybody would feel SO differently from him.

39. Open mindedness
unfortunately, is not a pre-requisite for DU membership.

I mean sure, natural childbirth is the only way to go. I plan on smoking during mine, and if I'm lucky, the baby will be born at The Olive Garden.

I think it's more about American politics than DU, though. It's just the same shit over and over again.
