Is Fox cutting all controversial comments from the Emmy Show tonight?
Or is it just coincidence, such as Sally Field's anti-war comments being blanked out?

If so, Fox should not be allowed to host the Emmy Show again!

2. From what I have heard at the chat on Washpost.com, she said,
if mothers were in charge there wouldn't be any war...

Seems to me like this was less a censoring of political statement, but more of a censor of the curse word, most likely "fucking war"

4. Right, but she clearly said "God"...damned War.
No mistaking the way her lips moved. I was clapping and laughing in my living room.

3. Here in AZ we're not getting it live.
At the start there was a scroll that said 'taped earlier.'

6. NOBODY got it broadcast live...
The ceremony happened last week, I believe. Shame on FOX for censoring Sally Field, however.

8. Some Emmys were given out last week.
Tonight's show was live, though likely on a delay.

9. Nope, its live
The creative arts emmys were last week. That's when they give out all the awards for costumes, production design, camera work, etc.
Primetime emmys were tonight. Note when the Conan O'Brien people made a snarky comment about OJ getting arrested giving them material for tomorrow's show.

5. I'm in AZ too so that's not happened here yet (thanks for the spoiler - JK!)
But there have been 2 or 3 times already where we were looking at a shiny disco ball on the ceiling (or the back of a speaker, not sure which) and there was no audio. Not sure what's going on with them.

7. Just watch "Mystery" on PBS
went in my kitchen to fill the cat's plate and when I came back got to hear the stupid dumbbutt Tony Blakely say that he was tired of people saying this was bush's war, that this was the American people's war.

I would love to smack that S.O.B. right across the mouth. It sure as heck ain't my war, I did not order an invasion of an innocent country. And I don't support the conflict now in that country.

IT IS, IT WAS AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE BUSH'S WAR. No matter how the republicans try to spin it otherwise.

10. no, just certain "offensive" language like "god damn"
They didn't censor David Chase's line at the end suggesting that maybe the country is being run by gangsters. And they didn't censor the first part of Field's statement, where she talked about honoring mothers who want their chidren home from war. But when she said "god damn" she crossed a line that has been set by all of the network's standards and practices groups.
