Britney. The media in this country is hardly any different anymore than the National Enquirer and other gossip rags. They don't know how or want to cover the important issues that really have an effect on our lives. They are as guilty as GWB for the war in Iraq which they helped GWB to get. They are useless in the WH briefings but they really know how to cover stories like Anna Nicole Smith, Britney, Paris and OJ.

It looks like most of the MSM journalists all graduated from National Enquirer University.

4. Yes. Not just them, but every other worthless celebrity.
Every day is a new opportunity to cluck our tongues at how people with "everything" can act so ... human.

5. I really don't understand why this is big news. It should rate a mention
and that's it. Now, if he murdered someone else (instead of stealing memorabilia), THAT would be worthy. This story doesn't even approach interesting, as it stands.

6. Like They'd Cover News That Matters?
What would you rather hear? Non-stop OJ or all day trashing of MoveOn and the latest Repugnican spin or talking point? We've seen time and time again how inept and lazy the corporate media is. My bets are most of these reporters were the ones who were hanging around the Murray mine in Utah...now that story isn't "sexy" anymore, they're onto the "next big thing"...and, ya know, with the hatchet jobs they regularly do on Democrats, I'd rather them go chase OJ for a while.

7. No.
We could all stop watching the so-called "news" channels.

Otherwise, yes.

9. Of course we will.
He was the one who kicked off the entire "fascination" with the celebrity-gone-bad 24/7 cable news coverage. He's the grandfather. Surely you don't think that they won't cover this? Get ready to hear lots and lots of OJ coverage until (and if) this comes to trial.

12. It's today's push story.
At least on DU, we should know today's pull stories - Blackwater getting their license to operate in Iraq pulled, and a new study indicating 1.2 million Iraqis were killed in the war; but that's not what the media's going to focus on, isn't it. They want us distracted, so we'll hear push stories - nothing but non-stop OJ!

13. Maybe if the dems had hit these media outlets on all of this, it might
help expose them.

They do what sells papers or gets airtime to their advertisers.
