2. Did you hear what he said |
|
about Petraeus and about Iran this morning? He was very hawkish on Iran and had very kind words for Petraeus. Like I said, I was very disappointed. You are entitled to your opinion, of course.

5. I find it hard to believe that Wes Clark was being hawkish |
|
on Iran, since he's been leading the movement to prevent a war in Iran.

6. I didn't hear him, but I've been reading his essays regarding |

Iran for months now and there's been NOTHING "hawkish" about them - he wants diplomacy and regional involvement. He believes IF Iran gets a nuclear weapon, the surrounding countries will be MUCH more effected by it than the USA.
And, in-so-far as any kind words about Petraus are concerned: that's what former colleges do, professionally. They keep disagreements personal and speak only in kind in public. Except for Gen. Richard Shelton - who acted like a spoiled brat - most all of the former generals give each other kinds words - even the Republican generals (minus Shelton) all refused to diss Clark when he ran in 2003 - the said they disagreed with him, but that he was smart and competent.

I could understand 4 years ago people spelling his name with an "E". But it's 2007, he's been in the public eye for a while now.
