Hannity: "...everyone has suffered greatly"

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,297072,00.html

Widow of Soldier Highlighted in President's Address Speaks Out

<snip>

HANNITY: Well, you're in our thoughts and prayers. The president is right when he talks about how your family has suffered greatly. How everyone has suffered greatly.

I met a lot of families that have lost loved ones. It is a terrible, terrible price in dealing with these people that think they're doing God's will when they kill innocent people.

Let me ask you this question. When you hear the rhetoric, the political rhetoric going on, does it offend you?

STOUT: Yes, because it makes me feel like maybe his death was done in vain and he died for nothing.

HANNITY: Well, I mean — but when they attack, for example, you know, politicians saying that our troops in Guantanamo are Nazis or the terror in Iraq. They're terrorizing women and children in the dark of night or, you know, air raiding villages as Barack Obama recently said. I mean, these are attacks against these brave men that go and fight.

STOUT: Yes, it is. It's really frustrating and hurtful to hear that.

1. Well Mrs. Stout, the truth hurts painfull some times.
Your husband's death is one of those times. He was used in perpetuation of a lie and mad grab for oil & power.

2. "people that think they're doing God's will when they kill innocent people"
Yes, indeed, those people are exacting a heavy price from all of us.

4. Yes, they are....
and we keep paying that price, all in the name of "our God is bigger than your God" nonsense.

He did die for nothing and these terrible things are happening in Iraq, ordered by the White HOuse.

5. Sean has suffered greatly.
I even heard that the doughy little fuck ran out of gift certificates and actually had to pay for his last meal at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Oooooh, the humanity!

7. Just because her husband died, she wants other soldiers to die too
That is basically what she is saying. She is saying NO MATTER HOW HOPELESS the situation is, she
wants us to stay there so that her husband doesn't die in vain. She'd rather thousands more die,
even if in vain, so that she doesn't have to think her husband's death might have been in vain.

If we are still fighting there 1000 years from now, she'd rather millions more die just to make her feel better.

How nice.

Sounds like he deserves a Republican Purple Heart Band-Aid. He is so terribly wounded....

9. I'm sorry your husband died for nothing, Mrs. Soldier
but that isn't the fault of the people who are opposed to the war. In fact, you see that doughy-faced Irish fellow sitting across from you, he's what we call a Corporate Media Cheerleader. And he's one of the reasons your husband is dead. Dead for no reason at all. And it's time to start directing your pain and anger to the real culprits - Bush and his media whores.

10. Sean Hannity should be used as a human land mine detector,
I'm not gonna slam this woman at all but Hannity is using her grief to continue pimping the war.

11. Never Stop Shocking Me
I have said it once, I have said it twice, and I will say it again. Republicans never stop shocking me. Each time they say something stupid or outreagous I hope that they will not say something even worse the next time; however, every time they say something else it is worse than what they said before.

Everyone has not suffered greatly. Many people never had to go to an airport with their child, sit with that child until their plane arrived, and then watch that child walk off to go to a war. There are many people who never went to sleep at night hoping their child, that they raised for about 18 years, was safe. Many people never spent many days worried that a military member would come to their door telling them something terrible had happened to their child. Many people never waited days and weeks for mail from their child to come just so they could have some idea of how their child is doing.

Everyone has not suffered greatly. That is how people like Hannity's friend Bonnher, and others can say that what is happening in Iraq is a small price to pay. The people who have paid any sort of price for this war know that the price has been high.
