DU this poll: Should telecoms get immunity for violating the Constitution?
And check out the reader comments! They are awesome!

Immediately after receiving the FISA changes he wanted from the caving Democrats, Bush demanded that when Congress returns this fall, Congress must grant blanket immunity to telecomms that violated the law by secretly turning over private customer data and calls to the government.

The poll wants to know if you agree with immunity for the telcomm's lawless actions.

Portland Business Journal

poll is in middle on left side of page

Thanks!

16. Read the comments.
Fucking Morans.

"It is astonishing to believe that there are people out there who want to see OUR government as the bad guys. Of course it is unpleasant to think of government surveillance, but 9-11 and other terrorist activities that go untracked are far, far more unpleasant. "
"-Right, there are also people that 'want' to see murderers, theives, and rapists as 'bad guys'. I mean... it's not like anyone has a reason to think anyone is a 'bad guy'." What a moron.

"The democrat-ick media has 'assumed' that there has been illegal surveillance and has reported it as true. Gullible, weak minded people will believe that a falsehood repeated often enough is true even though it is not. "
Now that guy's a 'meta-moran'. Accuse the democrats of using the same tactics you've obviously fallen for. Where do they get these idiots?

"People must realize, that like it or not, we are in a fight for our survival and very existance with radical Islam."
Check out this work of brainwashing... very thorough, just the right amount of pants-wetting... perfect specimen.

"I don't get this whole debate. We're at war with a global terrorist threat. If you're not doing anything wrong, why would you care if the govt., in the course of trying to prevent another 9/11, snoops on a phone call by someone who fits a profile of possibly being up to no good. Intelligence opportuities are much more fleeting than the time necessary to obtain court approval would allow. I hate taking off my shoes, my belt, etc. at the airport, but you'll never hear me complain about it or harp about "my rights" because my "rights" are ultimatley to freedom and personal safety. In the current environment, the winey liberal ACLU-types need to suck it up and get over it. "
Ah, here we have a talking point compounded with just the right dash of misinformation. This particular dupe is a classic example of the 'I think for myself because they told me I do' crowd. Apparently it wasn't convenient for them to tell him that no one ever had to 'wait' for a court-order before. A classic and polished dumbass, this one.

"The events of 9/11/2001 could have been averted if common sense surveillance measures had been in place. Government's #1 job is to protect us. If this means cooperating with the FBI during this global war on terrorism, I'm all for it. I have nothing to hide."
LOL! Yes! Another clean and scrubed parietal lobe and hypothalamus. Forget that measures were in place, forget that we had all the intelligence necessary to avoid it, and forget that your Commander-in-Chimp didn't give a rat's ass about all that info. Did I say 'forget'? No... this is an example of one who never knew... how sad.

And here's a good one;
"I was going to phone you with my response, but I'm concerned that my calls are being monitored . "
