What is progress?
I personally believe that progress is the elimination of the need for the most essential of things for human daily survival for every person on the planet. Those things being, water, food, shelter, health care and education. This being carried forth without warfare and without aggression or oppression. Simplistic, I know. This planet is full of takers. People who take a lot more than they need. This attitude is contrary to true progress. Technocratic achievement is not true progress. Technocracy relies upon a system in which only the top tier benefits from the achievements of many at the bottom. That is not true progress.
