The first one is mine, in response to somebody else's letter claiming Nancy Pelosi wanted to tax 401Ks to fund illegal immigrants:

To the person who wrote to Speak Out about Nancy Pelosi wanting to tax 401Ks and mutual funds to help pay for illegal immigrants, I have some swamp land in Florida to sell them, as well as the Brooklyn Bridge. I also have some $40 million from Nigeria that I need to deposit in your checking account, if you just give me your account number. Pelosi said no such thing about taxing windfall profits, 401Ks or mutual funds or anything close to your claims! The source that Typical Democrats used for that information, be it Rush, O’Reilly, Savage or similar, will soon be issuing a retraction of their lies about Pelosi. Probably right after pigs start flying, because they have never apologized for or retracted any of their lies before.

IT’S TIME TO GET OUT
By all realistic accounts, the Bush Escalation Plan in Iraq, dubbed “The Surge” by the media, has been an abysmal failure. Monthly U.S. troop deaths are up and are now at their highest level. The deaths of Iraqi citizens are also increasing, despite the fact that Iraqis with the means to do so are fleeing the country in droves. The Iraqi government took a month-long holiday in the middle of a civil war, while the Sunni minority has basically quit the government entirely. Meanwhile, our key ally in the occupation, Great Britain, is abandoning the city of Basra to the insurgency. President Bush talks about not withdrawing from a position of weakness, but our position was much stronger four and a half years ago. It is time to bring our troops home before our position deteriorates even further.
