It looks like Hillary is running away with it. If you don't like her policies
it is time to start attempting to alter her stances. Stop complaining and start lobbying her. If she seems she is out of the mainstream of Democratic thought, show her.
Be advised that what stance taken during campaigns may not reflect how they govern. Most likely they also say things they feel will get them elected. Imagine that!

Your opposition to her means nothing outside of this forum if you don't volunteer to work for the candidate of your choice. Get involved. You will find your anxiety will drop, your anger will be channeled to a more positive activity.

What is important is making sure the Dem that gets selected gets elected. As much as some seems to hate her, she is a whole lot better than anything out of the GOP.
Remember too that your job is not done when our candidate raises his/her hand to take the oath. Stay involved, offer praise or criticism.

1. Very good point!!!
I am going right now to find out how to campaign for my choice. I do agree with you that while she isn't my first choice, she is so much better than any GOP.

4. Good post, alfredo. I have one personal problem;
I still don't have a clue who I'm supporting, but do know who I'm not.

11. You just need to study the candidates more. One way to decide is to
get to know their local organizations. That will tell you a lot about the candidate.

Here in Ky our primary is so late the race is decided by then. I have made it a point not to make a choice right now. I like all of the candidates in our party and will work hard for them.

Anyway I am too busy with our governor's race which will be decided this Nov. I will begin worrying about the presidential race at 6 PM Nov 6. That's when I close the polls, pack up the paperwork and equipment then deliver them to the County Clerk.

23. Amen to that!
There will be PLENTY of neo-con heads exploding if the Clintons take back the WH.

Poetic justice WILL be served!

Hillary's not my fave, but GAWD! - just to see the repug head's spin!!!

If the Clintons take the WH, they better have equal to twice the amount of Secret Service that * or Dick have.

8. The election is still over a year away
The nearest primary is over 4 months away.

Lobbying is a good idea of course, but no one is running away with it yet, or will be for some time.

I can't believe so many people are letting the Republicans tell us who our nominee is before a single vote is cast.

10. Well, if she's leading all of the polls
She must be appealing to a majority of people. As much as I despise the DLC, I'm afraid it is becoming a foregone conclusion.

17. She seems to be doing great in the primary polls. It is important that we
trust the wisdom of our fellow Democrats. It is also important to work our asses off to ensure a victory even though we may not like all the stances of our candidate.

Remember, the president will be picking Supreme Court Justices. We cannot leave that in the hands of the Royalist.

14. President Dean Agrees - Hillary Has It Locked Up!!!
Just as Dean parlayed his 30% lead over Kerry one month before Iowa into winning the Democratic nomination, Mrs. Clinton is a shoe in. Just as Tsongas held on to his early lead and commanding win over Mr. Clinton in NH, Mrs. Clinton has it wrapped up.

(NB: Early polls have zero to do with outcome. Zed. Nada. Bubkes. I've been through this enough times to know.)

28. No, but she seems to be dominating the debate. Her ground game is
fantastic, and she's got the cash.

She has never lost an election even back in school. She's tough. Not sure how much I like her, but I respect her intelligence and courage.

the truthtelling and Bush-crony-bashing being doled out by the candidates. It all serves a great purpose in exposing the cocky "penjano" (?) for what he is. AND it makes the road more difficult for any GOP contender, who has to run behind Bush's miserable reign.
Keep Talking, all of you.

It should be a constant debate AGAINST GWBush.

I recall in the last days of the impeachment of Pres. Bill Clinton, there was a nationally known psychic on the radio. Now I do not give much creedence to psychic talk, BUT she did declare that, "though no one can see it happening at this time, America WILL indeed see Bill Clinton back in the White House someday."
I too would like Hillary to become President for the sheer joy of seeing the heads of Rush Limbag, Oreilly, Candy Crowley, and my Fox News Addicted boss, and a boatload of other pukey's heads explode.

21. Like her or not
and,for the record, she has not been in my top five, she is showing leadership. It may not be on issues I like, it may not be the direction I want to head, but she is impressing a lot of people in my area with her ability to campaign, work within the system, and lead. Many people I talk to in Iowa and southern Minnesota have told me they didn't like her prior to the campaign but have been impressed with what they have seen from her over the summer. Like her or not she is turning out to be formidable.

24. How would Hillary behave if a student asked her a question she didn't like
Would she have stopped the police when she heard him screaming?

I am a bit concerned about the Democratic Party at this time.

under pressure. Not sure how she would have reacted if someone rushed toward the stage like the guy at the Kerry speech.

30. Oh for christ's sake...
...get a grip. It is still EARLY in the primary season, and while she has a commanding lead in the polls, not a single vote has yet been cast.

I think I'll wait just a bit to throw in the towel on alternatives, thank yew very much.
