5. Great site, but God
I wish sites like this would do some spellchecking. The headline uses the word "hypocrisy" and spells it "hypocracy."

add to that "loose" for "lose" and "to" when "too" is meant....drives me batshit crazy.

OK, sorry about the rant.

7. Not everyone
gets so irked about grammar as you choose to do. Maybe you might do well to quit being the self appointed internets English teacher and start just enjoying what you read more?
The old fuckitall can do a lot to help you just let go with things.

I don't know.Grammar mistakes typos whatever don't bother me,because I am not a machine don't want to be one,and I can get the meaning of the message despite the typos bad grammar and all.I don't bother with being a grammar cop because the writer is a human being. Imperfect.Like me. And I am not going to spell check all the time..Life sometimes demands we don't spell check and we don't speak in perfect English.Maybe the site creator was rushed, maybe they had other stuff to do than worry about the site's words today. We don't know. Why assume the webmaster lazy for not spell checking?
Why not just go to the site,be aghast at all the disgusting scandals in this trove of republican slime. The web site's maker decided to do the work to put it all together, isn't that enough?
Relax if you can understand, it has said it's message to you.

8. I said it was a great site,
and this is the first time I've ever mentioned spelling. I'm hardly a "grammar cop."

That word, at the top of that site, is not a "typo."

I am a teacher. I happen to believe that we need more "grammar cops" teaching. We are graduating students from high school (the 2/3 who don't drop out altogether) who cannot read or write well. Therefore, the messages they want to communicate, aren't very well communicated.

I simply expressed a pet peeve of mine. People take a lot of time putting together a site like that, but then don't spend the time to proofread or spellcheck it.

If something is worth doing, it is worth doing well.

make me tend to doubt the veracity of the site. How accurate is the information if the thing is
covered with typographical errors??

12. Doubt all you want, but at least check the sites and follow the links..
which I doubt you've done, or you'd know they all link to verifiable newspaper reports...

Covered with typographical errors?? Where? I fixed the header graphic, please point out where it's "covered" with errors...

Thanks...

I never realized it before... yeah, I own the site...

Now, where are the others that you mentioned? I didn't see them. I rarely, if ever, mess up with "loose" for "lose" or "to" for "too".. can you point them out for me?

Thanks

18. Quite a comprehensive list!
What a bunch of pigs.

You know, it would be great if at some point you could add the date of the story on your site (or at least just the year), so if ever we needed to, we could easily reference a specific period of time without having to click on each link.

And if I may add -- and this is just extreme wish-listing -- I think it would be really cool to add how the Christian Coalition scored them, because I've noticed lately that many of the repub sex offenders received high scores from that group and for some reason, the CC still seems to have merit. For example, on the list from 2004, Craig and Vitter both received scores of 100%:

Republican Marty from Florida was a childhood friend. A little over a year before his arrest, he joined our high school class on a reunion cruise. Marty paid a teenage girl (I think she was at least 17) to join him on the 3 day trip and, according to Marty who proudly boasted this to everyone who could hear, they spent most of their time in their room doing ecstasy. He did venture out a couple of times and at one point, he tried to pick up MY daughter by regaling her of stories of how he smuggled drugs into the US. She was an adult, however, and was able to take care of herself and easily rebuffed him.

One memory of the trip, always makes me smile. He actually greeted everyone on the trip, not by saying, Hi, good to see you again, but by saying HI George Bush for President in 2000. We all laughed at that because who in their right mind could imagine George W Bush as president!!!! We just thought, oh that crazy Marty, he's just being Marty. He was always a wannabe but he was tolerated because he had money.

Anyway, I kept in touch with him after, as I enjoyed sparring over politics with him, he was such a gung ho Rethug that he was easy to bait. At that time he had a website that I visited often in order to keep up with his illogical reasoning. He hated Clinton with a great passion because of the supposed immorality he had brought to the country and the White House, yet his site was littered with lots of pictures of scantily clad women in suggestive poses.

Then when he was arrested and the info started to come out that he was trying to exchange drugs for sex with minors, I wrote him and told him that I had no reason to believe that he was not guilty because I knew him and that until he cleaned up his life, I wanted no more to do with him.

Within weeks, he was dead. After slashing his wrists and taking some type of overdose, he was rushed to the hospital. Friends who lived close to Marty, related that the suicide attempt was at first deemed only to be a cry for help, that neither the cuts nor the overdose were bad enough to kill him. Supposedly, he even walked into the ambulance. But for some reason, within days he was dead.

It took a very long time for me to stop feeling guilty. While I recognized that my harsh words to him were probably not what pushed him over the edge, I agonized over his despondency and how I probably contributed to his act of desperation, whether or not it was truly an attempt to take his life, or merely a signal that he needed help.

Whatever the case, I now realize that Marty Glickman brought his fate on himself. He was a troubled soul, granted, but he was not one of the good guys. He was indeed, a bad guy. I hate that my childhood friend Marty is gone - the friend that jumped on the beds with me when our mothers weren't looking. But Marty the man.... the world is a better place without him. And I'm not ashamed to say it.

Young Republican National President resigns; Says sex with man was consensual, not harassment

http://pageoneq.com/news/2007/Young_Republcan_National_President_resigns_Says_sex_with_man_was_consensual_not_harrass_0808.html

The President of the National Young Republicans, under allegations of sexually harassing another man, has resigned from his post.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x1541421

An older complaint, from 1988 alleged that Glenn Murphy, whose term at the helm of the group began last month, "had the blankets pulled up over the waist of and was committing oral sex on him when he awoke."

Check out the resignation email he sent:
First the great news. I bid on a contract for my company a little more than a year ago. I didn’t think it was going to go anywhere. It was a huge project, and taking on the commitment would be life altering for me and my business — my company doing in one year what I would ordinarily do in five. I never thought in a million years that I would land this bid. Well, I landed the bid Friday. Yay for me, right?

There was a major catch.

Due to the nature of the client, one of the stipulations in the contract was that I hold no official partisan titles. (insert gut-wrenching dilemma here) I could help. I could maintain the political consulting division of my business as long as I had additional lead consultants. But I could hold no official Republican positions.

=============
After reading all this, one wonders what they think "official Republican positions" are
