Talahassee cops sent on leave for |

tassering UF student pending a full investigation. UF President on MSNBC Press Conference. The fall out is massive as expected. This is a disgraceful incident at UF. MSNBC legal rep says it does not look like tassering, it looked like torture. Nora says this does not look like America. They repeated Kerry's condemnation of the incident.
I'm betting this charge is dropped. Susan Filon says the prosecutors must drop this to send a message to these cops. Add

1. UF is in Gainsville, not Tallahassee, and the incident was in Alachua County. |
|
Tallahassee is Leon County.

5. Unless a Tallassee cop was working in Gainsville for the event... |
|
...MSNBC needs to fire their fact checker, if any corporate "news" outlet even bothers having one of those any more, that is.

3. OF COURSE these charges will be dropped. |
|
THESE SORTS OF CHARGES ARE ALWAYS DROPPED, ex-post facto.
But in the meantime, they serve the immediate needs to:
o Shut up the dissenters, and
o Make everyone more compliant with (illegal) authority.
Look at the reaction we've gotten from allegedly- progressive DUers, who've come out in droves to condemn the student.
Only when people either start winning huge legal judgements against the cops (unlikely) or start seriously resisting, en masse (more likely with every passing incident), will this shit start to stop.

If you REALLY want to send a message to the cops as a prosecuter you would prosecute the policemen involved.
