Acccording to Medea Benjamin, she has been yanked out of a Hillary rally for wearing a T-shirt with the words "Troops Home Now" handwritten on it.

Sorry, folks. This is bad. NOBODY should be accepting of this kind of authoritarian behavior. It was wrong when Bush did it, it is wrong when Hillary permits it, it is wrong when any candidate's organization exerts that much control over people's speech.

I get so concerned that Bush has set an unspoken standard that now even some Democrat's campaigns will use. It is not anti-American just when Republicans repress free speech ... no double standards, please.

...assuming that what Medea said is true, and that it was only because of her t-shirt and not her actions, then we should absolutely not tolerate this from our candidates any more than we'd tolerate it from Bush et al.

Now I love Medea Benjamin, but we all know that she is an activist in the literal sense of the word. That is great! But I would want to know more before making any judgment on the incident she describes.
