Want to find out what you would pay for the same health coverage that Congress gets? |

2. I picked four HMO plans. |
|
In my state, comparable to what I have through my employer, for myself and my kids. I pay 500% more.

9. What a hilarious word "benefits" |
|
When the "benefits" that accrue to the consumer are less than the "benefits" that accrue to the friggin health plan, I'm not sure that "benefit" is the appropriate word.
Hillary sucks ass, her healthcare plan sucks ass, and I am sick and tired of her sorry DLC kissin ass.

11. Federal employees are getting much better coverage than I have... |
|
...and they're paying much lower premiums than. But Hillary is saying only that we would be able to choose from among these plans. She did not say that we would be paying the same low premiums. And I'm guessing that these federal employees enjoy significant employer contributions toward their premiums.
The devil is always in the details.

4. Unfortunately, the anti-socialists would never allow such plans to replace the bottom line |
|

They oppose any government intervention. They even attack Hillary's plan as socialism, even though it is little more than forcing people to buy health insurance from private companies.

10. I was under the obviously mistaken impression that the Govt plan was somehow |
|
'special'. Like they didn't have to CHOOSE a plan, didn't have deductibles, it was all just provided for them. Go to a doctor's office, show your government card, and that was the last you had to think about it. The number of plans here are overwhelming. The premiums are much better, I agree, but you still have the same old hassles -- being able to afford the premium, let's say. Being able to afford the 'balance' of payment after the insurance has kicked in its share. Maxing out. I just don't see that much difference, therefore I don't understand why this would be such a great deal.
Could someone please enlighten me?
BTW, I remember hearing Ron Paul talk about his plan, and it was kind of like how I envisioned the current plan for our elected officials. His issued a voucher of some sort, you went to the doctor, hospital, showed them your voucher and that was the end of your involvement. I don't think the individual had to pay for the coverage, if I'm not mistaken. Sounded good to me!
TIA
