He was acquitted. What part of that don't you understand? Are you going to go on record saying that juries are incompetent and the jury system of justice should be thrown out the window?

As I know it, our system of jurisprudence is predicated on the notion that it's better to let a guilty man or woman go free than to put an innocent man or woman in prison. Was I taught wrong?

For what it's worth, I'm in agreement with you that there was a miscarriage of justice. But we don't KNOW anything, because his jury acquitted him.

People can be guilty of crimes even when juries acquit, ya know.

20. That trial was a joke, though

The judge should not have allowed half of the things that happened during that trial, the biggest one being the allowance of TV cameras.

The police botched the investigation because of a racist cop who probably planted evidence.

The prosecution bungled it further by asking him to try on the glove.

The defense used race as a bait and switch.

The entire thing was a circus from the get go. He most likely got away with manslaughter, if not outright murder.

The jury, despite OPERATIONMINDCRIME's many repeated assertions to the contrary, came up with exactly the correct verdict. Justice was not served not because of them, but because of an incompetent judge and prosecution, an unethical defense, and a corrupt police force. He's guilty, but they couldn't convict him.

Hopefully he will now have his comeuppance.
