I'd say it's not a problem. He looks like he's in pretty good shape - gets a lot of exercise riding his bicycle and falling over barstools and such. If his age is a legal question, I'm sure there are plenty of phony ID makers around who could supply him with fake credentials to get past that. As for the recognition part, I for one would be willing to kick in a few bucks to a collection to help pay for some plastic surgery to change his appearance. I think these problems could be easily solved. All he'd still be lacking would be some guts.
