1. How many times do people here have to see |
|
people dragged out of public events for asking questions, heckling, protesting, before you get it that this is wrong?
So what if the kid wanted to draw attention? Code Pink wants to draw attention. Cindy Sheehan wants to draw attention. The fact that all of them have been arrested -- Sheehan for the "crime" of wearing an anti-war tee shirt -- should be a wake up call.
Don't speak out. Don't get out of line. Don't step out of your "free speech" cage. Stay comfortably numb.
Or act like Americans and say "This is wrong." Tasers are wrong, period.
We wouldn't have a USA if people back then had been so willing to let authority figures do whatever they wanted to do.
Looks like we could lose it, and alleged progressives are saying it's OK.

I mean, forget the taser for a second. You're saying that disruptions like this are just A-OK with you?

4. Being dragged out of an event like this is not wrong. |

In fact, that is probably the purpose of the disruption - to gain publicity.
There's no point for Meyer in upstaging Kerry if you can't be arrested or stopped, IMO.
