A Positive Force For Change.
What can we do to create POSITIVE change? All Change requires action.

I believe that real grassroots change starts at the local council chambers, the local committees, the community organizations, the PTO, the churches, the synagogues, the mosques. There is a great need to embrace our communities and look for ways to create positive change through positive images and positive words and by our actions at a local level.

Simple things: Join/Start/Help a Food Shelf program. Join/Start/Help a community drive to better the Recycling options available. Join the PTA and make suggestions that create a more positive educational system. Work with them, not against them. Work with your local community and become a POSITIVE IMAGE for change.

Action.

But what kind of action works the best - positive images and actions or negative images and actions?

If a change agent flails around and acts negatively, will that agent be defined by their actions and thus be perceived as a negative force for change to the majority who perceive the flailing IMAGE. I believe so.

People do not flock to negative IMAGES. True Leaders and their Change Agents distance themselves from the negative IMAGES.

True Leaders do not flail.

They lead by creating a POSITIVE image for change. They lead by example. Be a leader. Get out there in the community and see what you can do to help. Once there, be strong. Do not lash out at things you think are stupid or wrong. Try to find a way to POSITIVELY impact the perceptions of those you seek to change.

Sometimes being a leader requires nothing more than offering to help and smiling through the pain.

Peace.
