Right-wing strategy to salvage political office in '08 |
|
In order for the republican party to be relevant in '08 and to prevent a democratic landslide, their strategy is to blame the "Democratic Congress" for not bringing the troops home.
I can see it in Blitzer's reporting when he comments about the dissatisfaction of the country with the democrats for not being able to deliver on why they were elected in the first place...
Well yeah, some democrats were elected because of dissatisfaction with the war, but there are also rightwing, bluedog democrats who have no problem with the war...
To pin the whole ordeal on "democrats" generally is wrong and is a strategy to assign blame (and avoid republican party self-destruction in '08) for why the beloved Troops aren't coming home as soon as they should.

3. That is why no matter how incidental the republicans are blocking |

every single bill they can to make the democrats look bad. They know the media is not going to tell WHY the bills won't even get to be voted on, they know the media is going to take their side, so they stop the bills and get the democrats in congress to look bad.
