Once in a while I make the mistake of making a very specific prediction |
|
I'm usually wrong. Here's one I have a cynical urge to make:
Susan Collins will vote for the Webb Amendment
Olympia Snowe will vote against it.
It would be such perfect symmety, balancing their earlier votes today on cloture for the Restore Habeas Act.

2. I'm even worse. Here's one. |
|
The top of the Capitol will twist off like a coke-bottle cap, and fly into the air.

9. It would change how soldiers are deployed |
|
in Iraq and, I believe, Afghanistan: They would get the same amount of time stateside as deployed in a war zone. (I think that's it)

11. Which is much, much bigger than it seems at first glance. |
|
It would strain the manpower resources of the military to the point where they'd have no choice but to draw down US presence in Iraq. Meanwhile, the Dems look pro-troop, not anti-winning.
