for shutting up Fucker. That was a well articulated comment re Jena and racial disparities in the justice system across America. Thanks for welcoming the protesters. I haven't seen anyone shut up that moron so well since the firemen. Sp.

1. What are you referring to, please? |
|
I like Mitch, and would have voted for him for mayor of New Orleans, if I still lived there (I moved in 1994).

2. He was on Tucker discussing the protests tomorrow re |

the Jena kids. For once Fucker had to shut up and listen. Mitch stayed on point and had a broader discussions on race relations in America and the fact that the protests would encourage a discussion on the obvious problems. He said the last serious discussion on race was led by Bobby Kennedy and that none of the candidates for elections next year had touched the subject.

3. Thanks. I thought your reference to Fucker might be Tucker, |

so I tuned in but evidently just after Mitch was on. I only saw Fucker (who's starting to remind me of a younger looking version of Dubya's brother Jeb-yuck-so smarmy) and the equally disgusting Willie Geist.

4. I find this Jena situation terribly troubling |
|
Mixed emotions at best. Racial injustice? I've yet to be convinced. Show trial generated by the internet? You bet. So beating up white people is the wave of the future.

5. what all do you know about it |
|
It's more than the nooses and one fight. I'll go dig it all up, unless you already know the whole shocking story and are still unconcerned about the obvious racial bias.

8. I grew up in North Philly |
|
in the early 60's and got my white ass kicked by a group of black guys because I happened to live in "their" neighborhood, one of two sons of a more or less single mother. I got my ass kicked by black guys in north Philly cause I took a liking to a white girl in the neighborhood. I did not call in the Bosshog 6. I did not have the white equivalent of Jesse Jackson plead my case. I guess I have a jaundiced view of such claims. Persecute the fuck out of me all you want; I don't give a damn because I got my white ass kicked a helluva lot more times then once because of my color. If Jena is the epicenter of racial prejudice in this country, and obviously it is, then we must be making baby steps in progress.

The particulars of THIS case are that the white students beat up a black kid without any criminal filings. I'm not even sure there was school discipline. The ropes, the tree, throughout the entire ordeal, at every turn, it was the black students who were punished. Any time the white students did anything, it was just a prank. The final straw was the incident in question, and now the black students face criminal charges, charges that were illegal to even bring. The racism is clear.
I know racism goes both ways at times, but justice requires objectivity and suspending personal bias. This case in Jena goes way beyond anything we've seen in years and years. On top of some of the other incidents in Louisiana, like the school bus incident last year, I think it's high time people stood up and put a stop to it.

Sandnsea that you move to Jena and enroll your children in the Jena School System. Then you can tell us all about what is right and wrong, just and unjust. And don't forget to be objective once you move there and suspend any personal biases that you may have after you move there. I think its high time that you do just that and then you can work to put an end to whatever you discover needs to be put an end to.

11. I thought if you had the whole story |
|
you might look at it differently. I haven't seen the whole story told too many times. It usually jumps from the tree to the fight, with not much in between.
But if you feel better attacking me, then pile on, if you can reach the top of the pile because it's pretty fucking high.
