Contact the New York Times about their deliberately misleading headline:
"Democrats Fall Short in Vote on Home Leave for Troops"

That's quite some spin on the NYTimes' part, to say the least.

I just fired off an email to them:

"A more accurate -- and honest -- headline would have read, 'Republicans Block Vote to Help Troops.'

Here's their Letters To The Editor email:

Lying again, fellas? You just can't get the hang of this truth thing, can you?

Accurate headline: 'Republicans Block Vote to Help Troops.'

3. Roadblock Republicans Strand Troops
That was the headline I sent them. And asked them if they were going to write the habeas headline as "Democrats Fail to Save Constitution".

Aack. What is wrong with these people.

6. My letter...
"Democrats Fall Short in Vote on Home Leave for Troops" (???)

Isn't this headline a little misleading? How about "Republicans Block Vote to Help Troops." And since two of those Republicans are John McCain and Sam Brownback, how about the headline, "GOP Presidential Candidates Withhold Support for Troops."

After all, that's what really happened now, isn't it?

Sincerely,

My name
