In 1947 the National Security Act was passed and organizations and agencies like the CIA were "born".

One of the major intelligence failures was the inclusion of real Nazis in the community. That corrupting influence is still there.

The CIA, established to fight Communism, quickly became incredibly corrupt. Once they saw the writing was on the wall for their reform, they developed off-the-book financial sources and out-of-country mercenary armies (see al Qaeda). Soon, the wealth and power of the Imperialists this rogue organization created became so great, that they were able to board and loot the US economy and use it's armed forces for its own ends.
