Meyers is a confirmed, proud asshole who was intent on creating a disturbance. His politics don't matter. What he is studying doesn't matter. All that mattered to him was that cameras were upon him. He resisted and was subdued.

All those folk out there who are defending his actions based on "free speech" or "police brutality" are being played. Jackasses like this cheapen the true defenses of our civil liberties.

Even if it was for show, hey, he was at least asking good questions. He was determined. He could counterbalance some of those nutsy Rethugs. I like his presence. His style is radical,but he only hurt himself.

Kerry asked him to give him an actual question at one point. I think he just wanted the forum, really. I'm sure he believed in what he was saying. But he also seems to have been into the spectacle of the whole thing.

and so determined to get out his message before he got pushed out. He was afraid he would be "disappeared". He may have been after the sensation, but I think he was more patriot than showman.You need a big personality to do what he did. He was a novice and felt he had no choice but to grandstand. Maybe he didn't even think of how he would confront Kerry, he just felt he had to. That's just my take.
