Vote the bastards out
http://flprogressive.blogspot.com/

You saw below the list of 43 U.S. senators, all Republicans,
who demonstrated their utter contempt for America by voting
against the restoration of the constitutional right of
habeas corpus. - (the lack of which allows you to be jailed
without charge, without a lawyer, without a crime...)

Perhaps you'd be interested to know that the following America-hating
senators have terms that end in 2009. Perhaps you'd even like to give their
offices a call.

Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) (202) 224-4944
Wayne Allard (R-Colo.) (202) 224-5941
Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) (202) 224-5054
Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) (202) 224-2523
Susan Collins (R-Me.) (202) 224-2523
John Cornyn (R-Tex.) (202) 224-2934
Larry Craig (R-Idaho) (202) 224-2752
Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.)(202) 224-6342
Pete Domenici (R-N.M.) (202) 224-6621
Michael Enzi (R-Wyo.) (202) 224-3424
Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)(202) 224-5972
Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) (202) 224-4721
Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)(202) 224-2541
Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) (202) 224-4774
Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.)(202) 224-4124
Ted Stevens (R-Alaska)(202) 224-3004
John Warner (R-Va.) (202) 224-2023
Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) did not vote (202) 224-3521

4. Libertarians are concerned with THEIR rights.
Screw everyone else. They'll only start screaming when a tank blocks their driveway.

5. Interesting point, a grabber.
One very fine Libertarian moment, the law suit against the Ohio 2004 election.

That was a great moment - Greens & Libertarians fighting for our rights.

Let's handicap the races:

Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) (202) 224-4944 (???)
Wayne Allard (R-Colo.) (202) 224-5941 (GONE)
Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) (202) 224-5054 (BACK)
Norm Coleman (R-Minn.) (202) 224-2523 (GONE)
Susan Collins (R-Me.) (202) 224-2523 (GONE)
John Cornyn (R-Tex.) (202) 224-2934 (BACK)
Larry Craig (R-Idaho) (202) 224-2752 (GONE)
Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.)(202) 224-6342(BACK)
Pete Domenici (R-N.M.) (202) 224-6621 (GONE)
Michael Enzi (R-Wyo.) (202) 224-3424 (???)
Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)(202) 224-5972 (GONE)
Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) (202) 224-4721 (BACK)
Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)(202) 224-2541 (GONE)
Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) (202) 224-4774 (BACK)
Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.)(202) 224-4124 (???)
Ted Stevens (R-Alaska)(202) 224-3004 (GONE)
John Warner (R-Va.) (202) 224-2023 (GONE/RETIRED: "MARK NOT JOHN")
Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) did not vote (202) 224-3521 (GONE)

So, I've got 9 "GONE" with 5 "BACK". tHE "???" MARKS WILL MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE.

9 OF 18 GONE.

here's what i think will happen to a few:
Norm Coleman: loses to Al Franken
Larry Craig: out
Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell: out(ed)
Ted Stevens: busted
John Warner: done

now, let's see...who's left...?

12. The only one on that list that is a sure goner is Norm Coleman.
I can't wait till Al Franken wins that seat.

MARK Warner has the next best shot to win Virginia (but he will be pretty conservative).

Susan Collins is also vulnerable, but I don't know whether we can pull that one off.

13. Today was a tradegy for our country, but the real tradegy would be
for anyone I meet to honestly still call themselves a Republican......for in my mind, anyone calling themselves such is nothing more than a traitor to this country and a threat on our once proud country....they deserve no respect, none...and will never again for any reason get it from me if they still stand behind that label.

ESPECIALLY for that miserable chickenshit chickenhawk SOB saxby chambliss - for what he did to Max Cleland last time around.

Here's a sample call - that I posted on another thread. Different issue, but same general tactic:

Senate staffer: Good afternoon. senator norm coleman's office.

Me: Hi. Thank you very much for taking my call. I care enough about this to call all the way from California, you know! I just wanted to say how GRATEFUL I am that senator coleman voted against that Webb bill to give our troops some decent rest between combat tours. I'm SO GLAD he did that!!! It's gonna make it SO MUCH EASIER to clean his clock next November! He's just handed it to Al Franken!!! THANK YOU!!!!!! GREAT work!!! We were kinda worried that he was going to see the light and start doing the right thing for a change, so it'd be a LOT harder for Al. But he DIDN'T!!! I can't tell you how relieved I am by this!!! And please ask him to KEEP ON stayin' strong and holding our troops hostage like that! Keep it up! Keep 'em stuck over there getting killed for nothing!!! Especially since the vast majority of Americans wants this war ended and our troops to COME HOME!!! This is JUST GREAT!!! THANK YOU!!! coleman has no idea what a difference he made here!!! And as a Democrat, I appreciate this with ALL MY HEART!!!! You guys just Made My Day!!! Toodles!

Same thing for that obnoxious snot-nose susan collins. Whose staffers, I've found, are the absolute RUDEST on Capitol Hill. Hands down. And I've made a LOT of calls to a LOT of Congressional and Senatorial offices by now. Snot-noses just like she is.
