On Hardball last night: "Is Hillary corrupt?"
I'm not exactly a fan of Hillary Clinton's, but as a lead in to a commercial break on yesterday's Hardball, Tweety asked the question, "Is Hillary corrupt? Coming up on Hardball."

That made me so mad I had to turn off the television. I can't recall Tweety ever asking "Is George Bush corrupt?" Or how about Tom DeLay. Or Bill Frist. Or Dick Cheney.

Corruption and cronyism are running amok in the Republican Party, and Tweety has to target Hillary Clinton out of all the other more obvious people. I want to see Tweety do a story on cronyism in the Bush Administration, and how his unqualified and inept appointments have hurt the American people.

I want to see a story about Bush's insider trading of Harken Energy stock. I want to see a story about how Bush screwed people out of their homes to build a new stadium in Arlington, Texas for his sports team. Or the woman he impregnated when he was younger and forced to get an abortion.

That would make things fair and balanced. I'm sick of our bullshit media in this country today. Anyone who thinks we don't need the Fairness Doctrine reinstated and updated for today's issues isn't paying attention.

Rant over. I thought about this again this morning and it got me angry all over again. I know there are other more important things going on in the world today (like Brittney Spears and O.J.) but it's strange the things that set you off sometimes.

1. Ask the question in the media often enough, and the words "Hillary" and "corrupt"
become tied together--Tweety knows this. He's out to get her, I think. I can't imagine him saying, "Is John McCain mentally ill?"

2. How many years and how many millions of dollars did the Republicans spend
trying to find something on the Clintons?

And they got...nothing. If Ken Starr couldn't turn up anything substantial, I'd say there's nothing there to find.

I don't like Hillary's relationships with lobbyists at all, but put in perspective she's minor compared to others.

John McCain's mental health would be an excellent story to cover. They could then expand it to cover Bush as well.

4. I'm *not* a Hillary supporter at all...
But Tweety's obsession with her is disturbing. Who needs Republicans to smear a Democrat when Tweety will do the heavy lifting for them?

He's got some weird personal vendetta against her. It's getting old fast.

5. I saw it and turned off my TeeVee as well..
I'm down to watching KO, The Daily Show and Real Time. That's it. If it wasn't for those shows, I would cancel my cable account.

6. Y'all do know tweety applied for a speechwriter job in the Clinton admin?
He apparently was turned down rather abruptly and has been in a snit about it ever since. Perhaps Hillary was the one who squelched his ambition, or maybe he just assumes it was she who did it. In any event he's harbored a grudge against her since the early days of the first Clinton term.

8. He hates Hillary.
Remember that his whole family is republican. He is an opportunist and went with the Dem's because he could work. He is not too smart. He makes a remark about Hillary on every broadcast. I want the republicans to lose every race and watch him fade away. He is afraid of the right wing just as timmy is.
