My bet is he wants to pre-emptively hit at Senate dems on his AG nomination. Or maybe it's to work up some Iran fear.

6. There was an arrest of an Iranian officer blasted on the AP.

I'm guessing that whatever it is, it will be more distractions from the real issues.

Don't expect announcements of the following:

1.) The secret government has been disbanded because the Sandinistas are no longer considered terrorists.

2.) The White House has called for the resignations of Dominici, Stevens, Vitter, and Craig, and is reviewing CREW's list to determine who else should go home for good.

3.) The White House is calling for a sufficient number of wholly independent Special Prosecutors to address all current scandals.

4.) All document requests from Congress will be met by the end of business today.

5.) All subpoenaed witnesses have been ordered by the President to fully cooperated with the lawful investigation of the Congress.

6.) The War on Iraq was a mistake built on lies, and the U. S. forces will be withdrawn at week's end.

7.) Dick and I are such total screw ups, we have decided to resign and go home to our ranches to cut brush.

I must confess, that every time he holds one of these, I worry that he's going to announce that we just started bombing Iran.
