No wonder 29 % of America loves him
president Bush on Thursday cited "some unsettling times" in the U.S. housing and credit markets as he sought to assure jittery Americans that the economy basically is in good shape despite worries about a recession. "I say that the fundamentals of our nation's economy are strong," Bush told a White House news conference. Bush said that inflation is down, markets are steady, unemployment is relatively low, exports are up and corporate profits "seem to be strong."

Sure you money is now worth less than the Canadian dollar, but you know that's not a bad sign or anything. His don't tax but spend on pointless crap policies sure have put the American dollar on steady bedrock ground. And nothing I mean nothing gets me more excited than to know corporate profits seem to be strong. Wait seem? The whole wording implies the opposite. They only seem to be making money. Oh noes! OMG even the corporate whores that have gotten all the benefits of Bushes insane tax policies only seem to be making money. It's the end times! Thanks for assuring this jittery American.

1. Does anyone believe even any of the crap that comes out of his
lyin-ass mouth anymore? My jaw drops every time he speaks, now. Just astonishing.

2. I just assume that whenever Shrubby is speaking, he is lying.
How sad is that?

5. Very sad, and I feel exactly the same. My only thoughts now are:
why is he saying this? what does this gain him? There is little question of what is true, or even what he believes is true.

6. I agree
I think he's insane. No sane person could give the press conference he gave today. He's telling you what is real in the reality Bush has created for himself. Too bad I don't live in magic Bushland.

3. Conservatives should never be let anywhere near an economy
because they have no fucking clue in the world how it really works. They are follow the leader types who really think if the rich are getting richer, an economy is just peachy.

I'm afraid we're about to see what happens when an economy is supported by debt, hot air, and wishful thinking.

It is not going to be pretty.
