Bush Claims He "Got A B In Econ 101"
www.huffingtonpost.com/2007/09/20/bush-claims-he-got-a-b-i_n_65171.html

<snip>

n a Thursday morning morning press conference at the White House, the President engaged in a little bit of grade inflation about his academic record.

"You need to talk to economists," he answered when asked if there was a risk of recession in the US economy. "I think I got a B in Econ 101. I got an A however in keeping taxes low, and being fiscally responsible with the people's money."

President Bush as an undergraduate at Yale did not in fact receive a grade of B in his economics course. Bush received a grade that would correspond with a C-.

2. And Bush gets an F for Prezdent 101.
From the American people. 29% is a failing grade, no matter what the curve.

7. Did he mean Home Econ. 101? I think he got a B when he put the Wheat Thin on top of the Cheeze Whiz
instead of vice versa.

9. "People's" meaning mega-corporations and the ultra-wealthy.
The rest of us 99%ers, "(smirk) well, fuck 'em."

OK, Fuhrer. "Fiscally responsible" I think probably entails not ringing up a 9 trillion dollar debt and a 1 trillion dollar trade deficit. It might NOT include ringing up a near billion-dollars-a-month bill on an occupation that cannot be won. "Fiscal Responsibility" would probably mean doing all you can to keep your education, dollars and talent in America to do America some good . . . which your pro-corporate, pro-defense, anti-education policies haven't done at all.

I could be wrong but, well to be quite frank, I'm NOT.
