The next GOP victory can only comes if they divide and conquer. YOU can help |
|
ROVE and Co., Bush, Cheney, Gillespie, Berenson, Keisler, and all the Culture of Corruption Crooks, Stevens, Dominici, et. al., you know who the are, the Rs, by allowing them to divide and conquer.
Give the GOP a big assist with their effort, beg them to give you your wedgie of the day by feeding the strategy, by falling for the tactic.
Allow them to make you mad, go along with efforts to divide and conquer. Make a giant deal out of every little vote you don't like. Make a GOP contribution by bashing a Dem online for all to read.
Only the Dems can defeat the Dems, and you can help by falling for the oldest trick in the book, divide and conquer.
Enjoy your wedgie of the day! And get used to it. There will be a new one tomorrow.

The moveon.org "flap" was a chance to stand up to these thugs and sadly many did not.

3. respectfully disagree Congressional DEMs know better than to make this issue |
|
a line in the sand. It is a Willie Horton-esque trap and they all know it. They could not avoid it, and they are moving on. This is not what the Senate is about.
The whole "flap" is a manufactured issue to accomplish what? Division of the Dem base, create a wedge between Dems and $$$, and a huge diversion away from scandals and corruption.

All they needed to do was throw out some of Limbaugh, Coulter, or Malkin's statements and ask "where was your condemnation THEN?"
What MoveOn said was mild compared to some of their vile spewage.
The Democrats are bringing a back-scratcher to a gunfight and wondering why it's not effective.

9. This is anything but a gunfight. It is a waste of time and a distraction. Plus, |
|
it is a huge positive for Move On!
To avoid getting shot, you have to pick your gunfights.

2. The Dems are in dire need of a political self-defense course... |
|
They either don't know how, or don't want to, learn to fight back effectively.
They're NOT doing their jobs.
We're not going to remain silent about it. Or, at least, *I* sure as hell won't.

4. So, who to give an earful to? The Rs who do this crap or |
|
This is like kids in a playground. Some ignorant bully sneaks up behind someone on your team and gives him a huge wedgie.
You have a choice. Do you confront the bully from the other team or do you go after the kid who got the wedgie?
Or, do you get on with kicking the other team's *** and winning the game, knowing they were just pulling a psy-op?

5. What do you think the last election was? |
|
It was OUR way of taking it to the GOP. Of course, since then, we've found out that it was just so much wasted effort. The war is still going strong, the President can wire-tap anyone he likes, and our Constitution is still being trampled with no real resistence.
We attack the GOP all the time. They don't give a shit. But we need to hold OUR people accountable too. If we don't, we're all just whistling past the graveyard and none of this is worth a moment of our time.

This is a chicken or egg argument.
It is not the fault of the voters if they are not moved to vote for cowards , enablers, and those that openly and brazenly hate the left and write flowery essays about it.
Who is the one playing into the "divide" strategy?....the voters, or the Democrats who amazingly enough....were DIVIDED in their votes and put a fork in the eye of 2 million members of their base?
When are we going to hold leaders accountable who refuse to lead?
I am not buying this unity shit any more. I bought it in 2000, I bought it in 2002, I bought it in 2004 and 2006. And know what? I am not buying it any more. You want to condemn moveon, then expect no money from moveon......no moveon members manning the phones, and no fricking moveon votes.
Half of the Democratic party is dead to me. They can get others to vote for them because I won't...perhaps their corporate sponsors can buy a whole bunch of votes that way liberals are no longer brow-beat in voting for a team that hates them and can work for people who give a shit.
This diatribe does not apply the the half of the Democratic party that gives a shit.

8. The Democrat politicians who voted aye are doing a helluva job of dividing. |
|
They don't need Rove to separate the left wing of the party from right. They're doing a bangup job of it themselves.

10. Exactly the course of action DLC/BlueDogs take. Not just today |
|
but every day.
If you see a secret meeting going on anywhere in DC, you can bet that behind those closed doors DLC/BlueDogs are canoodling with GOPers seeking out ways to destroy the Democratic party.

Less work and the lobby money still comes in.
I would not be surprised if they are trying to destroy the Democrats and put the pukes in power again.
Remember this...the thing we know the pukes and the DLC agree on is their hatred of liberals and grassroots politics in general. That is a dangerous inherent alliance outside of our party that we have looked the other way from for some time. It does not serve the purpose of either of them to have any progressive near the levers of Democratic power, and a Democratic comeback and supermajority would do that.

13. God, this same bullshit has been going on for as long as there have been Democrats> |
|
I've been a more or less active member of the liberal wing of the party since the days of Adlai Stevenson, and I've heard people declare that they were going to quit being a Democrat because this wing or that wing supported one thing or another that just wouldn't allow them to ever be a Democrat again. I even fell into that trap myself once during our own party's "dirty little war" and got involved with "Peace & Freedom" a third party that was mostly absorbed back into the Democrats (although I guess there's still a vestige of it left somewhere) when they adopted most of their relevant plat- forms into the Democratic platform of the McGovern years. Democrats have always allowed themselves to get into silly snits about things that don't amount to a hill of beans. Right now the Democrats don't have working majorities in either house so that makes legislators up for reelection (particularly in red or swing states)nervous with reelection coming up. What we all need to do right now is elect a Congress that has a working majority in both Houses so we don't have to play these silly little games. Until then its going to be a hell of a lot better if we all don't bitch and moan so much and pay so much attention to these little Republican mind games.
