My, doesn't the 110th Senate seem cowardly today... |
|
Herr Decider accuses MoveOn.org of pulling the Democrat's strings, but then he yanks hard on Cornyn and look what happens! All the Dems fall in line behind Herr Decider. Even Webb, whose son was obliquely threatened by Herr Decider.

3. Gawd, I wish I knew... |

If they were going to allow it, they should've turned it back around to attack the GOP. It wouldn't even have been difficult. They've got plenty of ammo.

4. It was attached to an appropriations bill by GOPers |
|
Why GOPers are allowed to attach anything to bills is a mystery to me. When GOPers were in charge, Democrats weren't allowed to make a peep without asking permission.

8. The political version of "battered wife syndrome," perhaps? |
|
I just don't get it. We get all this talk of "A New Direction For America," and then the Senate just dumps all over us.

5. It wasn't a bill. All amendments and resolutions go to the floor, iirc. |
|
Bills, especially spending bills, can be referred back to committee and otherwise blocked, but if I remember the standard Senate procedure right, an amendment or resolution gets read and voted on within 1-2 business days, unless the sponsor withdraws it for later consideration.

10. Yeah, what's up with that? |
|
How can the DC Democrats not be aware that GOPers are in a full-blown war with their enemies the Democrats?
Democrats believe the bs that bi-partisanship is what is needed. Huh?
