*Unqualified rant warning* - the next Democratic POTUS in '09 will be a 1 term President. |
|
The capitalists are setting the stage for an economic meltdown set to go off during the next Presidential term ala Jimmy Carter style.
The ramifications of all this spending on the war/occupation will result in another inflationary period that will be blamed on the Democratic President for not getting the economy under control....

will start banging the drums for impeachment in February of 2009. The honeymoon will last about 12 hours. The economy and Iraq will be in shambles on Inauguration Day and 24 hours later it will all the democratic presidents fault. That's the way members and supporters of the party of responsibility operate.

3. Exactly. We need to call them on this. |
|
It's obvious to me that the R's are setting traps for us, economically, and in the Middle East.
Do you think they'd hurt our country for four years just to make sure they got their guy in their for the next 8 years plus?

4. Depending on who it is, I would say it will be the same stuff we get.. |
|
now. Government run by corporations, health care problem, continued attack on the constitution and constant fear propaganda along with government controlled attacks. Thats what will do it. And because they have done nothing now, whoever the president is will be allowed to use martial law to keep off the election that would put them out and we will up a creek without a paddle.
Unless we wake up, open our eyes and ears and elect a candidate that stands for the people. Then maybe somehow our country could get out of this downward spiral. Right now we only have a couple out there that truly stand for the people and looking at the polls, it probably wont happen.

|
12 years that really kick ass! full of great freedoms and stuff. so don't worry, it's surely going to be dems from here on out! I even think the next fascist will be a Dem (Hillary? Obama? either should do)

I don't know why some posters even pretend to be Democrats.

9. I don't know about Obama, |
|
but Hillary, because she is too cozy with corporations, will be more like a rethug than anyone else. Maybe not a fascist, but harmful, just the same.

11. I wouldnt have said fascist but you cant throw out everyone ... |
|
that questions certain democratic officials. Its like saying democrats are anti soldiers because they don't support the war. If we don't question our parties agendas, we will lose any form of democracy we may have.

It's not a fait accompli, not by a longshot.
